So i'm really contemplating another car.
The S13 is great and all, but yea, i kinda fucked it up quick status (from its initial purchase) and i wanna get another car.
If you remember, i was the idiot that bought the S13 with the 300zx conversion. I tried my best with my limited money source to repair, and got decently close.
Long story short, i want another mode of transportation.
240/260/280z, or maybe even zx, OR maybe a bike, namely, GSXR600 or something.
I really dig the oldschool roadster look, and feel. Its the most awesome-est thing in the world, better than IDB! But i also love bikes. Something about that open air feel.
Help me decide. :wiggle:

Get the GSX-R Cheat. Great gas mileage and you don't have to worry about traffic, haha.
I'm in the same situation you're in.

I'm thinking about it too, since my wife has the family car, I was thinking of getting an older truck cause I'm always needing to haul stuff. Good luck with your search.

depends on what your goals for it is.. is it just for fun or is it gonna be your daily driver..
your in cali so the weather is nice enough to pull off a bike as a daily driver.. it wouldnt work too well if you lived up here in washington.
i am also a big fan of the older roadster style cars.. i loved the old Z cars!

man barry if thats yours I am like envious, ya I used to own 240z's but I don't have any now. I think its coming up time for another.
Though Sochbat if you want a Roadster you should be looking at like a Datsun 2000 or 1600 those are Roadsters.

I have two motorcycles as my second mode of transportation. I run a 2003 Yamaha R1 and a 2001 CBR 600 F4i. Both are a great purchase, great on gas-mileage, inexpensive to repair and maintenance is cake.
Goodluck! :bigok:

when i was shopping for a bike i noticed that cbr600 goes for cheaper then a gsxr. so u should consider cbr600 if gsxr is over ur budged

The Z isn't mine, although I dream of owning one some day. Since I should always have a spare KA on hand to play with, I'm thinking a KA-T 240Z drift project.

Consensus, have bro buy the bike :wiggle: and i get myself the Z. Now options are 240, 260, and MAYBE 280z.
I dislike the newer year Zs, being as they started losing their roadster look, IMO.
And i was also thinking SOHC KAT for the Z. Smog exempt with its stock motor, but i don't think they'll notice the polished plumbing.
Now the REALLY hard part is finding a prestine, untouched -by-the-hands-of-the-RustGods Z.
A few have caught my eye, but end up being in far up norcal, and or out of state. Bory, i might be needing that place to sleep for a few nights. :wavey:

Sochbat, look this link over. I know it's not the engine you're thinking of using. It's not my personal choice either. But it should give you an idea of a nice build-up.

I <3 the S13 dash in that SR Z. I saw that car a while ago. My xroomate has(d) a 240z with a chevy 350 in it. Pretty damn fast. He was an idiot though and drove it into a parked camry while driving drunk one night.

And the Saurus looks fun to drive.

Now, should i just find a straight bare chassis, or complete car?
