So i finally decided on getting 2nd car to drive around while i work on my Kouki and to work.
CHoice one

1994 Civic 4dr DX blown engine 70k manual 1200
1993 NX2000 manual(lsd hehe) 118k needs clutch 1700 .
Both cars have good body no rust Ttops, good interior

both will end up being about same price when i am done with them .I am guessing 2k depending on what extra parts i will need. Civic got the reliability and low miles but NX got the SR20 therefore crazy fun factor..plus its a nissan. But civic i know inside and out since i worked for honda 2 years and easyer to work on. I think if i end up selling them i will make more money off the civic but not much...

What do you guys think?

a clutch is easier to swap than an engine NX>civic

But those sohc honda motors are dirt cheap at junk yards. I vote civic.

I will be the voice of confusion:

A clutch costs less than an engine/tranny/clutch

An SR20DE will have better output, stock for stock, than whatever engine is in that honda.

Swapping everything in that honda will likely be easier than even the clutch in the NX

Individuality is preserved with the acquisition of the NX

Cost (ready availability for the honda, versus what/who you know with the NX)

Looks (I know what my opinion is, what is yours)

convinced now?
... ne neither, happy motoring!

neither... you are getting the car so you can drive it around and let you work on the kouki, but both of them are the cars needing work. Find something that isn't broken already.

i vote for getting something that works already..... a truck would be a better buy.....

Hondas are cool because thier motors are like extended roll toilet paper. They last longer than most others but when you run out you can change it like nothing.

get the nx2000. i have one and love it. i believe it comes with vlsd. make sure the car has no 3rd or 5th gear pop out as it is a common problem. and plus its a fun light hatch :)

Id go with the civic but you can get a 2 door for less than that with a blown motor. Its really about how much more you wanna spend. The Nissan will take twice the amt of money the civic will to get running after initial 500$ difference!

Better gas millage too.

If you could find a working truck, you'd be better. Truck=hauls parts.

Nissan hardbody 5sp?
