During a cold start, the crank pully wines incredably loud. I just changed all my belts and it did this wine right before hand as well. Not sure what could it be. Change the pully?
fyi: The sound goes away when the clutch is engaged.

It is a belt squeel? Unless your crank pulley is about to fall off I have no idea what exactly you are experiancing. Sound like your throw-out bearing is about to die.

ugh, doesn't sound good. Yeah, its really hard to explain. All I know is the sound is coming from the crank pully and it goes away when the clutch is engaged.

Are you standing in front of the car while it is making the noise or are you guessing that it is coming from there.

my car makes the same noise when its cold or warm...it does go away when the clutch pedal is engaged, my problem for sure is the throw out bearing...I replaced mine when I did my clutch, but after abusing it and kicking it, it started making those noises...

does the sound go away everytime you push the pedal in or just sometimes? does it come back when you let the pedal out? im pretty sure your pulley isnt making a sound unless it isnt tight. check the tension on the alternator belt. if you drive you car hard you might also want to check bolts on your components to make sure they arent coming loose, i had one of my alternator bolts fall off while driving, which causes your belt to have less tension.
