I've had Verizon and At&t. I wasn't happy with Verizon's customer service so I left them and switched over to at&t. I've had no problems with them yet, and after they joined forces with cingular, it's only gotten better.

i had sprint for a year and it sucked. I dropped so many calls. Sometimes the phone wouldn't ring and I would never know someone called unless they left a voicemail. Now I have cingular after that and have had it for 2 years. No problems now.

my motorazr is a pile of crap though.

ive had sprint for a few years now. it does seem to miss a lot of calls and i just get random voicemails without a ring. no reception in my house also kinda sucks.
the gf's verizon does the same thing with missing calls, but reception is usually good.

i dont need my phone to live though, like a few people ive come across, so little stuff doesnt bother me much. cant really beat it for $5/month.

cingular.... its ok. I pay 39.99 for 800 anytime, free nights and weekends. Got it as a part of an introductory deal back when GSM first started in florida. Everytime I go in to cingular for whatever reason and they pull up my plan, the guys behind the counter cant believe my plan, it rocks!

Sounds like my Verizon phone. I was actually wondering this as well. I want to change carriers, but I don't know which to go with.

I kinda want Cingular, for the phone solely.

The w800 Sony Walkman phone is even better.

I have Cingular as well, been with them/att for 4 years now. Never not had a signal, unless going through Nebraska.

Customer Service sucks, but cell service is top notch. Customer service sucks anywhere you go anyways.

Now that I think about it, I suggest you post this in regional also that way you will have info from most people around you. And not from people in places you will never see.

verizon has the best network by far,
where i live in an obscure part of socal, tmobile/cingular gets little or no reception, but if you live in a major city, shouldn't be any problem

you can check out tmobile's signal strength on their website

tmobile has a current promo of something crazy like 1500 mins on 39.99

tmobile/cingular probably have the best, cheapest, newest phone IMO, i love gsm phones and the ability to switch between these 2 companies every year, either get a new phone when i sign a contract or get some money back, and still sell the old phone on ebay for decent amount

hahaha! the irony in this is too funny, and you know what i mean too mr.wei.
you finished with that excel report yet? do you need me to write more VB for that beast?

i have vzw - rockin the LG vx9800. the service is good and the phone is the closest thing to being a mobile pda without being a mobile pda. gonna trade it in for a treo cause thats what i really want. for the most part Verizon does have the best network in terms of reliability and for transfering data.

but honestly to each his own - some phones work here, others work there. this carrier has a cool phone, that carrier has a cool phone.

i had at&t (7 years.. orginally cell one).. bad reception great phone, but then switch over to verizon.. bad phone, great reception. But I heard since at&t and cingular merge, the at&t reception became a lot better. I will go back to at&t once my contract is up, just because I can keep my #, and add myself to dad plan for $10 a month and use his minutes ($99.99/month unlimited night and weekends(business phone))

crazy good plan
never had a problem honestly
even using my phone up to the northwest USA, havent headed much inland, but over works fine.

i could have used my phone when i was in HK, Thailand and Japan too, which is nice, i got some cell serv from another carrier there which is stuff you can add thru cing for better rates or whatever, but i was cool to know as a last last resort.

I got cingular. good service so far, have had sprint, wouldn't go back to those lying bastards, Nextel was FANTASTIC untill sprint too over them and service went to crap. all i can say is STAY AWAY FROM SPRINT IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY AND SANITY!

i had verizon for two years, i liked the service, i'm not phone-crazy.
i switched to sprint several months ago, service is just as good, phone is nice.

i like sprint's internet package much better than verizon's "get-it-now".
plus, with a smartphone, i can do alot more i think.

I got Nextel. And damn do i pay too much. I dont even want to get into it. I bought a really expensive phone and in less than 1 month it was trash. I think im just gonna go with cricket. Which is kinda dumb but im never out of my city or use the walkie talkie that much.

I got Tmobile, and it fucking ROCKS. I just upgraded for only 5$ more and month, from 500 anytime to 1000anytime,and still get free nights and weekends. I also get 300 txt a month for like 2. Reception is never goes out(unless absolutely nobody has reception, like my ex g/fs house. No server did,no towers.)

Verizon.

No idea how well it works. I had Cingular and got reception at my house and now my Razr doesn't have reception.

My phone has more complex circuitry than my car.

Nextel is good if you are getting a discount from your work. Otherwise if not that many people you know have it, it kinda sucks because you get free direct connect minutes.
