ok some of you may have seen or commented in one of my previous posts. i would like to say that what i was thinking before was incredibly dumb and i can tell how stupid i acted before. ok now on with my idea. im planning on building my '92 coupe up over the summer.
**All mods are in order:
5 Speed Swap being done next week
Apex-i Dual N1 (with piping for turbo)
Buddy Club bucket seat (as of right now thats my idea but sumthin may come up that i like more)
Suspension work
Good cheap coilovers (meagans or sumthin similar)
Engine rebuild
turbo (not sure yet doing research right now and will determine what im goin to get as it gets closer to that time)
after all performance stuff is close to or pretty much done
Silvia front end
Silver paint with blue pearl

if i left anything out please feel free to add to it

What are you building it for? Show? Drag? Drift? Track? AutoX? Fun? Daily drive?

Theres lots you left out depending on what you want to do with it.

One thing you did forget no matter where you go with it is wheels... And if you are painting you might as well get aero...

its goin to be mostly for fun and daily driving...while im working on it im prolly goiing to pick up a second car for drifting (cheap shell and build that up) this one is going to be my learning car

yea i did forget wheels on there....

im not doin any aero other than maybe a small aftermarket lip..i have a friend who did a rhd rt sr with no aero and i think it looked clean so thats what im aiming for (a clean stock looking car)

Sorry man, but *****NOBODY CARES AT ALL****** No one talks about their dream cars, they just build them, and then talk about it.

I had a dream of fitting a zero offset ten inch wide wheel in my s14 and then I did it, and now I can talk about it. you do what you want, build it AND THEN talk about it.

good luck with your project.

i know what you mean but this is a project thats already started and i can get all the parts lined up whenever i want...and you have to remember that im learning with this one not going for that great show car or anything like that

if i was going for a dream car it wouldnt be this car

Lucy says:
"Look, I've never had a dream in my life
Because a dream is what you wanna do, but still haven't pursued
I knew what I wanted and did it till it was done
So i've been the dream that I wanted to be since day one!"

- Aesop Rock

But umm, learn on the other one you want to buy, not on the fun daily driver...

good and cheap coilovers don't mix, some like megans some do... they are cheap but not that good, comparing to a little higher priced coilovers...

There are a lot of little thing syou need to do in b/w all those mods... but you will learn those as you go...

I would get a VLSD for your learning car and then a clutch type LSD for the next car. Maybe ride around with an open diff for a little while but a car with an open diff driving characteristics' (sp?) are totally different than a car with a LSD. Course a clutch type and VLSD are very differently as well, but at least you'll get the idea.

Open diff is no fun :blah:

I have no idea what yer previous posts were about but jsut some advice..

Im no super mechanic, nor do I know everything about every part out there.. so my advice to you is to do something like I do. To avoid irritating everyone with the same question after question ( what parts should I buy etc etc ) I just pay close attention to what everyone is running on their car, read up on all the DIY threads, or build up threads, read reviews for the newest and latest parts, stuff like that. Its the best way to learn without having to always count on everyone else for ideas. Then once you have a better understanding of what your looking for you can ask more direct questions, but before that most times the search button can take care of that. Anyways, just an idea. I consider myself lucky since the guys I hang with know a crapload about tuning so I learn a lot jsut from observation and listening. Good luck with your build and have fun with it. ^_^
