View Full Version : My Best 240SX build to date(Feb 06 Turbo magazine)

Tashi Simmons, of Falls Church, Va originally built Hondas before going down the Nissan road. Some of you guys should remember his Yellow S14.5 that was showcased about 2 years ago. That yellow car had its engine work done by Heavy Throttle and the body was done by a friend up in PA. Well, the yellow car met its demise in the hurricane that hit us in '03; (I think it was '03). Tashi decided to not bail on the project and we tracked down another S14 and began the entire build-up ourselves. For 8 months, Tashi and I drove up to PA, (where the car was kept,) every weekend and began the work to build the car to what it is on the streets today. Only a few select stores have the magazine on shelves right now. I got my copy today. Tashi and I really had no control on the actual article itself, so I was pretty pissed that none of our work was mentioned.More pics will be posted as they appear on the Turbo magazine website. Also my pics were taken with a dispoable camera or my shitty cell phone.

the car finally done with paint and the all the body work. We had some weird issues with teh motor once it was in the car,but I was able to figure it out and get it running.

congrats on being in the front page of turbo.
the car is looking really good. i have a copy of the turbo mag with ur 240 on it. and the pics are fantastic.

Yeah the car is sick...but the article sucked...oh well at least your hard work got recognized(if not in the mag, then by the loving Zilvia group)

I read the article. Congrats. However, I think there are some errors. The article says that the car has a z32 mafs but in the pictures it has an sr mafs.

I saw that too. If you notice the tape near the MAF you can see that it is kinda fresh. The Z32 MAF is giving us some weird issues. It was working fine for a while.

Very clean car. Not very original as far as exterior w/ the stardad US Cwest/Seibon Mainstream stuff but nice looking car regardless

How similar are the 2 cars *the yellow and white S14.5* I know the yellow one had its time in the lime light a couple of years back. As far as the look, personally, i like the yellow better. It just screams at you in that non-ricey kinda way. The white one look kinda plain but so fresh n so clean clean at the same time.

The yellow one was using the stock turbo. The white one is not.
