How fast can a 240sx Stock Run?

240sx's will prolly run really really crappy times stock. probably like a 16 or even higher. there piss slow for racing but fun for corners/drift until u start to upgrade. or even swap the engine.

Yeah I think Car&Driver Magazine reported 16.1 seconds or something back when these cars were new. Can't expect too much from a 155hp engine.

First off, your Hp is probably not 155, Second you probably can't drive.. what you hear is people quoting magazine from 98 about a car 4 or five years older then the magazines article. All speculation. Now my KA24DE was 130hp before mods. Sucks right? Joined some forums did a sleepy eye mod, removed speed limiter and timing chain kit install along with full synth oil change. she leaked a little but HP was 150 1/4 was 15.7 but racing a faster driver yeilded better performance.. meaning I beat a Civic that ran 14.9, but i did have the speed limiter removed. thanks for your time.... No!, you cant get it back.

130hp would be consistent on a dyno because (obviously) no manufacturer reports wheel horsepower.

One member here did a 15.2 with an exhaust. Other than that, 15.9 - 16.2 is what's generally printed.

as far as top speed on a S14 goes, I've had mine in excess of 120, but realized that i own the car, and there is no reason to be going that fast even on a deserted highway.

but on a different note, i would agree that stock they are more built for the twisties than drag. i went out and was playing with some buddies, one had a nice new thunderbird, the thing pulled away from me every straight away, but i had to brake and slow down for him on every set of corners. i'm sure that if i had 300 ho instead of 150 iI might be doing better, but i just can't get enuff of how the handeling just feels better than any opther car i have driven. (and i used to be a detailer, so i've driven quite a few)
