I did a search on removing the rear S14a rear emblems and I removed them and took all the glue off with goo gone but now I have an outline of "240sx" and "SE" on the trunklid. I used a claybar to try to even up the paint and Meguiars Scratch X and rubbing compound but the outline is still there. Now I'm assuming that it can't be fixed because the sun fades the paint but misses the paint being covered by the emblem. My silvermoss 240 has the outline and my friends starfire 240 has the outline too but he didn't use any rubbing compound or anything so I thought mine could be fixed. My last kouki didn't have emblems when I bought it and it was black. I'm also assuming you couldn't see the outline because it's black... or maybe the previous owner did some magic trick. I was just wondering if anyone had any tricks to remove the outline, probably not but it's worth a shot.

IF you wet sand.. be very carefull.. get a really really fine grit and don't apply too much pressure or you'll need to repaint it.

I had that gay shadow on mine too for awhile (mines red btw) but after about a year now, its not nearly as noticeable. I just make sure and use liberal wax on the trunk lid whenever i'm washing/waxing, and eventually it almost "just goes away". if the car is real dirty or you are really really trying to see it, its visible. just have patience!
