my motors starting to make noise (chain guide has almost had it) and the cars misfiring due to the chain guide. i'd do it myself except the fact that i'm a beginner going hands on cars. :squintd: it really stressin me out since im a student in a financial ditch - daily driven car.

someone help? :sadwavey:

i just want to free up the chain guide and retime the chain. couple zilvia guys gave me the directions and FSM (tumbsup to kirinpoopy and bigal) but being the newb that i am, its hard to do it myself. ive also heard you can retime the chain by taking off the first sparkplug? i'm willing to work hands on if someones willing to just point at when needs to be taken off and on...

if someone around so. cali could help itd be awesome. i buy u starbucks? lol

if you have the directions and fsm what more do you want? nobody is going to hold your hand thru it.

It's not hard to do it yourself, that's the only way your going to learn

how about having a shop do the work. or actually shelling out cash for a reputable member on here to do it right. BTW how are you certain the timing chain is causing the misfire?? Many things can cause a misfire, and if the timing chain was off, usually the engine would not run. Besides just remove the timing guide to clear up that noise.
