I was coasting along my friends neighborhood when my 240('95, blacktop) starts sputtering... it bucks a little bit and the throttle is oddly responsive...

So, it idles fine, and when I start driving and press the throttle it goes for half a second then stops, then goes, and all the while bucking and chugging.
on the half a mile trip home i could sometimes get it to rev up and then it would just cut throttle and run bumpy as hell.

I'm looking under the hood, thinking it's a leak somewhere, maybe the maf disconnected, it didnt... It smells like burning oil from the right side (when facing the car) of the engine bay. It's cold outside but it looks like it's burning a little smoke.

It feels like I'm leaking from somewhere, it's chugging but it's odd because I can spool the turbo sometimes but it inevitably hits the chugging, smells terrible. No idea what it is, and like I said it happened coasting ~1.5k rpms going ~20...

Advice or suggestions,
thanks

Bad MAFS or Coolant Temp sensor...could also be a bad coilpack. Check the wiring for your MAFS & ensure your battery cables are tight (I had one come loose before & it did the same thing). Good luck!

i know this sounds dumb, but check your intercooler piping. same thing happened to me and i couldnt go faster than like 35, same shit, but i popped the hood and my pipping split slightly at the coupler.

Pipings, bad water temp sensor or bad O2 sensor. My bets on the O2 if thats still the original that came with the swap.
