looks like a cup holder. a japanese guy i met with an S13 coupe had something similar in his vents.
the really tall shifter looks like a sequential shifter... the leather is probably just covering the shifter mechanism...

Thats exactly what I was thinkin.. probably a sequential shifter. It's sitting at the same angle as the ones I've seen before. Ikeya I think makes it?

could be any sequential shifter for the FD.... but it's possible it's an Ikeya. Too bad all the sequential shifters for our tranny are placed for RHD... I'd wonder how easy/hard it would be to adapt it to be placed for LHD though, as you'd only have to bend the shifter over to the left and extend it a bit.....

I'd love to drive one to see what it's like. I drove the new Si b/c I wanted to see how the shifter felt, and amazingly it was VERY nice. It promotes having both hands on the wheel. Not one on the wheel, one on the shifter. Very comfortable, and easy to get to. VAST improvement over every other Civic shifter I've ever driven.
