ok i am damned as hell surprised you can tell those are z33 wheels.
these wheels are all temporary.
ka-t.org what intake manifold do you speak of?
got link?
also in terms of power wise. we are hoping for 350-400 on 100 octane.
and i HOPE that the motor will last 1 season or until we finish buildup of other motor.

So you used silicone elbows for the intercooler piping?
Is that uncommon or am I just a nub?
They work ok im guessing?

on 100?...You can easily do that on pump =)

i had that as piping between the filter and the turbo and i couldnt boost because the turbo would creat suction and it would suck the silicone piping together and couldnt breeth....so i had to use ntercooler piping.

Congrats on the work. What's with the cold pipe? You have an outlet on the pipe with nothing connected to it.

Probably just hadn't hooked up the IACV line to it yet...
Good stuff man... how's it do with the maf so close to the turbo?

i'm guessing that's for the catch can, but I would think it would be pointing downward for better flow....
anyway...
is that bad boy twin scroll?!?
The 90degree elbow makes me cry
Fucking nice work so far though. Keep this updated, man!

are you going to run the ems and not use a map sensor?
looks good!

just curious, will a stock maf hold that much power?
No...stock S13 MAF will give up at ~240rwhp or so...
With the AEM, though...he's a Z32 MAF away form being able to hit ~350.
Looks great, come back with #s.

Wow guys lots of awesome questions
i like the manifold..
but at this point i don't need it just yet..
not making enough power and don't wanna sacrafice low end.
It is a sweet design.
The car has all smog removed as well as idle controls.
we will use throttle cable idle and then go from there
The intake piping is silicone hoses
it is reinforced so it should work good.
also it is also a temp fix.
Once the car has been tuned we will remove it and run a screen most likely
The cold pipe outlet will be getting plugged up. We have already ran all the hosing we need for a catch can.
Sadly that 90 elbow is the only thing i can really get short of making a metal piping. right now i am more interested in getting track time and yes there are still some pitfalls in the motor but overall the turbo should be ok..
also the map is there just for part throttle tuning w/ the Aem
once i get part throttle and idle and cold start tuning out of the way
we will be removing the maf sensor in favor of the 5 bar map sensor that is already installed =)
yes the wheels on the z are sold..
When i have time i will take some more detailed pics.. I've hidden alot of the items..
The radiator catch can is right on the e-fan
and the oil catch can is in front of the radiator.
Also the piping going into the intake manifold
BARELY clears the upper radiator hose.
Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
As long as they aint too mean i will be ok

I spoke with mitch at scca and he approved the cage because of the bigger OD compared to what was necessary. I don't even need to gusset it. So i am good to go
Alex what is up long time no talk to bro.
Take a look at the clearance between the intercooler piping and the radiator hose. WHEW

Here is my radiator catch can. It is not a bleed style system so i can put it there. it just catches any extra coolant that happens to puke out the radiator

Ummm.. why did you put a breather on your oil catch? Isn't it bad to have non-vacuumed air in there? Aren't you thinning out your oil just the same as if you didn't have a catch can, but just a breather on the valve cover outlet?

Aren't you thinning out your oil

................huh?
Without a vacuum source on the valve cover outlet tube, it isn't an 'exit only' tube and air can go back INSIDE the valve cover and into the oil.. thinning it out.

Never heard of this. Is this fact or theory?
With the amount of movement already inside the engine (crank, rods, cams, etc), I can't imagine that a small amount of air entering the valve cover is going to "thin" the oil any more than the aforementioned parts will.
I ran a turbocharged 5sf-e MKII MR2 for two years and 25,000 miles with a breather filter on my valve cover. Never had any issues.
Tell me more.

Very common issue for boosted KA's. Check out www.ka-t.org for more information regarding this.

Without a vacuum source on the valve cover outlet tube, it isn't an 'exit only' tube and air can go back INSIDE the valve cover and into the oil.. thinning it out.The tube on the Valve Cover is the intake for the PCV system. The vacuum on the system comes from the Manifold on 4 ports. Each one is across from the fuel injector and runs to a log that then runs to the PCV valve behind the alternator.
The reason the VC intake is hooked up to the intake plumbing is that you have to meter all air that goes into a MAF engine. It's not ideal but the intake has to be after the MAF cause the air goes thru the block and picks up the unburnt gases and fuel(which 'thin out' the oil) and then exit thru the PCV valve into the intake mani. On a turbo KA that is keeping the MAF you would run the intake between the MAF and turbo. You would not want it hooked upto the cold pipe cause that would pressurize the block and cause major blow by/out. You would have the oil blowing out the dipstick tube.
The tube that is on the cold pipe should go to the IACV tube by the TB.

we deleted the iacv.. so no need for tube..
the vented catch can should work.
