so im racing this guy finally started pulling on him in 4th gear all of a sudden my engine  shuts down or something and he blasts past me how do i stop this ? thanks

there are few rev/speed limiters. &nbsp;

R-Spec, Bee-R, HKS, Greddy, Apexi, Defi all have that function and more.

I'm currently using the R-Spec, but will change once my Bee-Racing system arrives. &nbsp;The Bee-R comes with a mis-firing action system.

The Defi Sports VSD heads up display unit has one also

sounds like rev limiter to me, i know you can cut just 1 wire to disable the speed limiter, i believe you can also just cut one to kill the rev limiter as well... www.240sx.org has an instructional somewhere

whatever you do don't cut that wire
I had a friend that did it and followed the instructions on 240.org and the check engine light came on and he couldn't find 5th gear.
There are other horror stories if you look hard evough on the tech board. &nbsp;Just pay the money for a rev/speed meter or the Greddy unit

will the Apexi rev/speed meter take off the speed limiter.... cuz i'ma bout to get that puppy

if you do get something make sure it doesn't just take off the speed limiter. On the dohc s13s there is a speed and rev limiter. My speed limiter cuts at 110 but if i got rid of that, my rev limiter would cut in at around 116. NOt really worth it for only 6 more mph. If you find something that cuts both...message me with the name. haha.
