Just found out I'm having a kid and need to sell my fully built up sr20 red top. I spent alot of time and money on it. $4000+ and I tried to get some of the best parts to support 550HP. The shop I got the work done at does alot of the high end cars around here. Alot of turbo supras and bmw's.

Engine includes
SR20det Long block assembly.
Bored
Hot Honed with torque plate(block is heated upto running coditions and is honed to size to eliminate cylinder wall distortion)
Plateu Honed (eliminates break in)
Aligned honed
Surfaced on a CBN machine for MLS gaskets
Mahle Forged Pistons were installed. Lightest available. Stock Piston to wall clearance for no piston slap on start up. Swain Tech Coated.
Eagle Forged Rods with ARP bolts.
ARP Main Studs
Calico graphite coated rod and main bearings.
Greddy knockoff Oil Pan
Micropolished crankshaft

Head was ported and polished. Comes with a flow number chart showing about a 13-15% improvement in flow. A 5 angle valve job. New Ferrera SS valves were installed. Both intake and exhaust port and combustion chamber were ceramic coated (Swain tech) for optimal heat and detonation resistance. head was surfaced on the same CBN surfacer and should work fine with my cometic head gasket. Greddy valve springs installed with light weight retainers. Rocker arm stopper installed. It still has stock cams. That's the last thing I hadn't bought. The shop will change them out if you want for free. I talked to them about it. All new nissan gaskets, oil pump, and tchains were replaced as well. It looks brand new.

I have stock intake and exhaust manifolds and a t25 if you want. I hadn't planned on using them.

No harness or ECU is included. It has a warranty on it as well I think about 5 months are left on it. I can ship anywhere and my boss will let me run a charge card here at work. I really need around $3000 for this. I hate to fire sale it but play toys must go. Bolt on a HKS3076 and be on your way to reliable daily driver 500HP. Make me an offer as this really needs to go. Do you have any idea how much a baby car seat costs? :bash: let alone cribs and all this stuff. :bash: :bash:

umm... tempting...
so you don't have any upgrade cams eh?

and how many miles on the engine?

zero. It was hooked up to a run stand and run tested for about 20 minutes before it was signed off as good for pickup. I was saving up for the hks3076 turbo as it was kinda overkill with a t25 on it and my ka24de is still running strong. Can't justify switching now

just wondering, does the engine also come w/ injectors???

TheWolf

well yes and no. I have a custom made fuel rail that has 550cc injectors in it from a rotary. I need to make some caps for the bottom of the injectors like on the hks top feed rail for them to fit. I was waiting to get a greddy knock off intake manifold to do the finishing touches.

Got an email from someone. Engine is actually still forsale. I've added in some HKS Step 2 cams now. Brand new from performance nissan. It's still sitting on my engine stand. You will not believe how little time you have for cars once kids start comming around. Also ARP head studs and a 1.2mm cometic head gasket. Oh and the awesome lightweight pulleys to give it that extra edge. This thing has papers on it as well. Showing piston sizes, weights, clearances, etc. Thing reads like an engineering schematic. Stock exhaust manifold and T25 were sold. It will either sell or sit till I've got time to put it in.

Your not interested in just selling the longblock are you?

TheWolf

It is a long block. No intake (well stock intake.. you can have) or exhaust manifolds... no turbo. no coil packs or injectors. I can throw in a set of acessories if you need. Alternator and PS pump. Run it stock then bolt ons later. My project has just run out of financial steam.

im in the market for a long block.. but i wouldn't pay anymore than 2000. and that would be SOON. if you wanted to... but i understand if you dont. if you change your mind then let me know.

how much are you looking to get now? same price w/ the cams? and are they 272 or 264? thanks

TheWolf

I'll take the same price. I'll have to let you know on the cams. Step 2 which is I think a highlift 264. Check [email protected]'s group buy thread like a month ago. They might be in there

edit. yeah 264's. I have the "Cam card" papers for them as well showing lift and overlap. etc etc. It's pretty spec'd out. forgot to mention the exhaust valves are inconel which is better than SS.
