Found my ride.. finally

135K miles
$5K
-small scratch on the front fender
-small door dings on the back right fender
-driver door edge has dmg from the door guard (or however you call it) after they took that rubber peice off
-trunk carpetting very very worn (going to need to be replaced, wonder what the hell the last owner carried around in there)
-carfax turned up one clean record
-no lsd/abs or sway bars  (all of which I will be adding better parts for anyways)

What do you guys think? Should I haggle it down some?
Mileage is of no concern to me, but I'd probably use that as leverage =).

p.s.-all you SE model people with the HUD display, could you post a pic? or even better tell me how I can add that on?

Cool!  Sounds great ovaltine, but your not actually going to add in ABS are you...just LSD and sways?

Nope no ABS. I've been lurking around on the board for a while and while my posts are all newbie posts (which can be found in the faq section I know hehe), I've learned quite a bit. Definitely will have to put a good LSD on there, and because its a base model also do a 5 lug conversion (I have a set of wheels I'm hoping would fit, its 5 lug). When I put on 300zx brakes on the car it will eliminate ABS anyways so yeah <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/satisfied.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':satisfied:'>

p.s.-I read a post on this board where someone mentioned the HUD.. &nbsp;guess I got it wrong =)

Well ok big dissapointment. I had a car dealer friend of mine go with me to inspect the car. He pointed out that the car had been in a ton of accidents and had the front and back fenders and bumper replaced (none of which showed up on Carfax report--what a waste of my money). He showed me how to spot body work on a car so that helped tons. Guess there really is a reason it was so cheap. I tired to bargain with the dealer for 4 grand out the door, stating that the car had been beat up and has 135K miles on it. They wouldnt go for it. Tried for 5 grand out the door, and they still wouldnt budge so I just left. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hmmm.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hmmm:'>
My friend is going to a few auctions in the coming week and he said he will look for one for me, so here's crossing my fingers.

did you just buy the one time carfax report? &nbsp;Those are a waste of money. &nbsp;You should definately buy the multi use 3-month one. &nbsp;WAY better, when looking for a used car. &nbsp;I must have ran 20-30 carfax reports myself when lookin for mine. &nbsp;then I just post the address for everyone on here to use.
