SO the title does not sound the good but is it normal for the KA24e to emit small portions of gas into the exhaust???? Cuz when im driving in the city and im in 3rd gear and when the revs drop under 2000rpm I hear like a consitany poping noise which is gasoline that being blown up. Just for the record the 240 of mine has a custom made exhaust 2.5in pipeing.

^ Backfiring??
or . .
How long have you had the exhaust on? Maybe its an issue from the custom made piping.

Have you seen the gas combust? it might be just the difference in pressure from inside the exhaust to outside. Kinda like the same reason why you can make poping sounds with your mouth. My car does it too at 2k rpms decelerating.

I have like around 1month and a half with the exhaust but I dont think it could be cuz of poor qualty or anything like that. Since it was custom made he made a couple of bends to clear the axle. Never the less it sounds awesome but I guess that backfires are supposed to be normal for a 240 with an exhaust.
