View Full Version : quick question: how do you get the shifter out of SR

snap ring pliers and muscles
remove the knob, shift boot with the trim. now remove the rubber cover from the 4 screws that's holding down the frame. now you'll see a C-clip holding the shifter in place. you need a certin tool. it's called snap ring pliers. put the pliers in the two holes on the clip and squeeze the clip out of place. now the shifter should just slide out of the tranny.
