Just making a post to see what numbers are SAFE on various gauges(Ex. Oil Pressure, Fuel Pressue, Temp, etc.) in various driving conditions.

Please post the following:

Gauge type:
#'s at IDLE:
#'s at Cruise:
#'s at WOT:

I was also wondering what gauges are a necessity? I'm planning on buying some gauges in the near future, but quite exactly sure what's really needed and what's really not needed.

Thanks for the input!

EDIT: FUDGE forgot to mention this is for a redtop sr20det...

I dont know about everyone else, but I am running a water temp., boost, and A/F ratio. From what I have been told...those are necc. I plan on adding Oil Press, and Oil Temp. though so I can be extra safe. I dont have any hard numbers since my swap is a week or two away....I'm sure someone else can chime in with more info.

If I was limited to three on a turbo motor it would be oil press. water temp. and boost press. Oil press is very important. Factory water temp gauge's are not accurate......takes huge changes to move them. And boost press on a turbo car is essential IMO

Instead of filling my dash with gauges, I bought a MDM-100.
Can monitor several things via ECU sensors. Only need to add 2 gaugues, boost and oil pressure.
