Once you cut the wire the button has to be pushed in and then turn the lights on. Then turn the lights off and the lights should still stay up. If they stay up just push the button in and out quick they will drop and stop then just put it to were u want it.

Buy Pivot headlight controller, or dont cut anywires, just pull the fuse from the fuse block 5 amp, turn the headlights by hand and you can even 1 up everyone else and turn your headlights on(make sure your brights arent on or they'll go up) with them sleepy eyed. Free, clean, and very temporary. Cutting wires makes me nervous, especially when you're going by someone elses walkthrough and have no idea if you're doing it wrong otherwise.

i cut the wire... no problems here

dont buy that pivot shit, its a waste of money.

if you're afraid of cutting wires, just unplug your headlight motors.

dont ask me how

its super easy

If you're afraid to cut it, then unplug the interior switch. Insert a small standard screwdriver into the plug to "unlock" the wire. Pull the wire out of the plug and tape up the end with electrical tape. it's really not that tough people. It's just 1 little brown wire.

See? No cutting and quickley reversible if you get scared of a lose wire.

just one final question/thought. How can you try to do the mod repeatedly if it's only one wire? You can only cut it once right....lol. Just thought I would ask...funny to me.

on my 93 coupe i installed a very small button next to the light dimmer and whenever i tap the button the headlight will lower as much as i wanted it to depending on how fast and slightly i tap the button, if i ever wanted to make it go all the way down i simply hold the button until it drops, its great. FUCK DAT PIVOT CONTROL!!! its a waste

is'nt there a video on this somewhere? Just cut the brown wire, use the knob and turn ur headlights on and then off, if hte lights go down, press the headlight button and try again... if they stay up after the ligthe lights are off, then "double click" the headlight button and they'll move down little by little.

ok, here's my question since no one has asked it---the pressing of the headlight button numerous times to get it sleepy has to be done everytime you get in the car right? or will it retain itself like that?....

heres a diagram i drew up some time ago. i got this from video option and it works quite well. requires no cutting wires and allows you to retain full headlight function. all you have to do is run the 2 switches inside and mount them somewhere.

they will stay in the sleepy eye position until you turn your headlights on, then they open up. When turned off they will go all the way back down. If you keep your headlights off or just use the parking lights, the sleepy eyes will stay
