In early June 2005, Mallett Cars announced their next venture: the V8 powered Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky. The Solstice is now here. This two seat roadster is powered by the same engine that is currently used in the C6 Corvettes. To celebrate their newest conversion, Mallett will be producing a special offering of the new 400 Horsepower LS2 Solstice, limited to a production of 100 cars annually.

Mallett Solstice V8 Performance Package includes:

* 400 bhp LS2 V8 Engine (OEM GM LS2 Block)
* Exclusive Mallett seat headrest and body ext. graphics
* Mallett serial number plaque
* Luk Gold Clutch
* Non-Adjustable Mallett-Penske Shocks
* Short Throw Shifter
* High Performance Brake Pads
* Stainless Steel Brake Lines
* Show car detailing: interior and exterior
* Professionally installed, tested and tuned

Supercharger, turbocharger and a 6 speed Tremac transmission will be available soon.

You know the Saturn Sky will eventually get the same variant. I don't know about you guys...but I think this car is NICE. If I had money to toss...I'd get one.

yeah, just came back from the GM auto in motion...those things look nice in person, very bold styling...same goes for the sky...

The sky looks better but 2700 pounds and 400hp is the true recipe for a real performance car. I like it, a lot.

wow the 4cyl version was suppose to compete with the new miata. miata had it beat but now with the v8 i dunno about that.

Well this is not from the factory, just an aftermarket tuned car.

Rumor that the 4cyl will be turbocharged by GM come next year.

Those are amazing, the styling makes me consider a domestic again on the new car market. We'll see how the motor and suspension holds up I guess.

haha, don't worry. it'll hold up. its the same motor in the C6.
