Hey guys, I got a question that hopefully somebody can answer. Anyways, is there a difference between the S13 and S14 front lower control arm? I know that the ball joints are different, but are they both the same length? And if so, what effects could it have? Thanks in advance....

^^^ Thats what I just did, and when I put on my wheels, it made the front wheels stick out further than the rears. I had a feeling something was wrong by the way it looked. It also affected my toe in, so, I'm going to put back the S13 lower control arms and just use the S14 ball joints. Hopefully that'll correct my problem.

lol...okai it mite stick out a little bit..but it doesn't do much..mite as well juss keep the stock ones on instead of wasting time installin the thing wit a minor different..juss do it when you have aftermarket arms (Battle Version, Kazama,Jic, tein...)

well my suspension is apart because I'm rebuilding my front end,and I picked up these control arms for cheap,
and the toe problem is obvious, your spindles are 10mm out from the steering rack, you need to align it.

Front, not rear. There are no other parts to change besides tension rods in the front, which would not affect anything with the LCA.
And I doublechecked, it's 15mm, plus the stop for the steering rack is different.

thanks for checking on that I wasnt exactly sure on the length difference, +15 for me!
When putting S14 FLCAs (and knuckles) onto an S13, can I retain the S13 sway bar and sway bar end links, or do those need to change, too? If they need to be changed, will an S14s bolt right up? I've read about the chassis mounting points being different...
I know the taper of the knuckle/FLCA ball joint is different from s13, but how about the tie rod end ball joint taper? I would assume not, since people interchange s13/14/15 tie rod ends on various knuckles...
Thanks!
Edit: (Holy shit just realized I brought this back from the grave... by over a decade!!!)

Everything bolts up just like you said use s13 ball joints if using s13 spindles with the S14 FLCA

The front swaybar mounts are different.
You will need s14 lower strut bolts to fit and drill out your strut brackets.
S14 hardware is a couple mill larger than s13. There is also sleeve spacers you can get if using the s13 hardware.
I converted my s13 to s14 suspension including the rear subframe..

Yeah, am aware of the lower strut bolt size issue -- I got sleeves for those.
I see -- for the swaybar mounts, is it just the hardware that's different, at the end links?
Can I use S14 end links on S13 sway bars? Or S13 endlinks on s14 swaybars? Or do I have to custom build something?
Any help would be great -- thanks!
I also understand that the hubs are the same size, but the hub bolt is larger -- is that right?? 32mm for s14 vs. 30mm for s13? (Can someone confirm that the s13 hub will fit on an s14 spindle/knuckle??)
Thanks in advance!!

Sway bar end links bolts up the same on s13/s14.
S14 LCA are ~7mm longer than S13.
S13 hubs do not fit onto S14 spindle.
Tie rod ends will bolt right onto knuckle.

Thanks, DennisC, just double checked, and you are right -- bummer because that means I'm out another $280!! :rant2:

I know this is old, but can you tell me where you got the sleeves?
Thanks!

We're are needing this as well, thanks. We'll start working on the s13 soon right after we finished installing the new rack and tonneau covers (http://4wheelonline.com/tonneau-covers.222468) for kayak mount on the truck. Hope by then the spacers are already here.
