Ok sorry to bother everyone with somewhat of a pointless post, but I was wondering who else here has problems with their driveway? Well I do, its nearly impossible to get a lowered car in and out, as you can see from the picture below....The S13 front with a Silvia lip is kissing the street...I will be reconcreting my driveway in the near future, but for now I'm using wood!

Tried that....=( Angle works fine on my...hummm.....Accord....but because the S13 is slighly lower than the.....Honda...it barely makes it.
Thanks Anyways!

yep, gotta go in nearly perpandicular to my drive. lift up one wheel. and i'll be lowering my car more once my gramlights get here.
i go straight in and out...why? because you just gotta make it work
my exhaust at the lowest point (at the axle) is only 1 3/4" off the ground
you just gotta find the sweet spot and you'll be fine

That's not bad. My parents' driveway has a huge dip just before the end, about 3 to 4 inches of water collect there when it rains hard. I belief I have like half an inch of clearance between my S13 chuki SE lip and the driveway even when I go up it on an angle. Car's only lowered 1.5" with Tanabe GF210 springs, and 195/60/15 tires up front.
Am going to slam the car soon, so... gonna have to find a way to just go up the driveway. Luckily, I already have J30 diff, so 3 wheeling should be OK for me.

I have no problem gettinpg in and out. Here's a tip. don't back in to your driveway. That just guarantees you will tear the front bumper up. I love having a diff. I can teeter all day and make in and out of my driveway.I'm on 17s now, but even on my 15s I never had a problem. No I don't have a calm driveway.

Most likely I'll be going in head in on an angle, pretty much like I have been doing with my Accord, if I didn't have the lip backing in would be no problem. :P

yea, just drive in at an angle, everyone has the problem, easly solved.
What scares me is when people come into driveways or over speed bumps that don't have aftermarket suspension, i'm like "o! shii~!! and then I realize the car isn't lowered.

LOL i do that too!! then i realize its like a land rover or something =X
yeah i have a rounded "curb" leading to my driveway, and its a narrow drivway too... only about 3-4 ft of space on each side of the car, so i have to really come in at a rediculas angle or i scrape. and im only on stechs! if i dont get the angles just right leaving my drivway, i get a nice litte noise to wake me up in the morning. death to driveways.
on a side note, dont EVER let ANYONE back your car outta your driveway unless they KNOW how to use a lowered car... my mom's b/f decided he would be nice one morning by letting me sleep while he backed my car outta the dirveway (so he could get out himself). i jolted awake at the most HORRIBLE sound of my undercarage being demolished. i seriously thought he had to have ripped my bumper clean off and dented my oil pan. i think he just tried to go straight out.... i was soooooo pissed. needless to say, he wakes me up EVERY time he has to back out and im blocking him, becuase i told him NEVER to do that again. my car was ok except for my lip being srapped along the bottom. thank everyhting i had decided to keep my little dust cover thingie when i but in my new motor. /rant.

ur driveway isnt that bad. just angle it , look at all the room u have. since its ur driveway, u can go as slow as u want.
yeah, i three wheel when i angle to go up any driveway...so i have to swing back and forth and peel out a little...i am in desperate need of a diff...

we should start a 3weelie crew haha u should see ppl faces when that happens. one time i got stuck on a driveway, couldnt swing back and forth, just spinnin tire. i had my friend get out of the car and give it a little push. :duh: i back up traffic, ppl were like WTF, move bitch :keke:

Hah my driveway laughs at your drive way.

It's literally a curb. And to make matters worse, the driveway is an uphill incline, so it's a huge speedbump basically. I scrape something everyday.

home depot it and buy a couple bags of ready mix
granted the city will beat your ass, but just say that some thief came in the middle of the night and did it
its the 240 and the LONG NOSE, makes clearing things suck. your car isnt that low tho, like everyone said, angling should be fine, but scraping cant be helped. that driveway isnt THAT bad, ive seen way worse, its just cause your lip sticks out pretty far.
i scrape my exhaust and front lip every day out the driveway, it sucks cause it loosens the bolts off the cat, and i end up having whooshstyle exhaust every couple weeks.

if your have to scrap it.. its better to scrap it out in reverse.. cuz you dont want to snag the lip to fold under teh car... less damage the other way around.

i fucking hate mine. when i get coilovers its really gonna suck. i still have to enter sideways
you cant see it that well but its 30 degree angle. theres the dip there too for the water to run on the side of the street
My driveway is the only thing stopping me from lowering my Z06. even at the highest angle of approach it scrapes.

Thanks again everyone for the comments and feedback! I do agree with all that my car isn't that low, its pretty much prefect just to pull in on an angle, but once I redo the driveway I'll drop it more... ;)
I can only imagine how about it would be to be pulling in with a Origin-Lab kit...and yes pulling into Jspec does blow...I can blame Jspec "Sam" for suppling me with my current lip....:P

My driveway is fun. 40mph is a possibility, but then hard on the brakes for the uphill corner and the dip upon which I hang a rail/subframe mount/transmission/swaybar/etc every once in a while. It's bad enough that I lift a wheel. It's like a curb with a bump at the top of it. When I slammed the car, I scraped my framerails for their entire length, in addition to scraping the lip of the bumper cover. I raised the car after driving another 50 feet and scraping the rail on a little bump.
I remember this time when I was at my friend's house and thought I dropped a driveline piece because my car wasn't moving. Turned out that I was lifting a wheel about 7 inches. Needless to say, I bought a LSD quickly. I was definitely not used to having that little travel.

throw some wood boards at the bottom will make it less steep. thats what i do :p. Hey man... Do you drive your car around RCC in Norco? I swear ive seen your car there before, unless theres another champ colored coupe with the sil front end driving around.... nice car nonetheless. I drive a black zenki, converted to kouki now. Youll probably see me around.

When I moved from my old place I refused to move anywhere I didn't like the driveway and now as long as I take the right angle I don't scrap, but I won't be getting coilovers anytime soon unless I move again which is not going to happen and I'll just have to be happy with my Tanabe DF210 and AGX's because I can't go any lower and I don't want to spend the money for coilovers just to have it the same height.

Wow, you guys should find somewhere else to live, or raise your car. Before I bought my house I took a test drive in the driveway to make sure I wouldn't scrape. I can't go down my dad's driveway. I have to park down the street at his sister's house, and get him to pick me up.

you could do like I do and just let it scrape..lol
I mean i've got about 60 bucks in my paint job, and my bumper is cracked in about 5 or 6 places, so I just let it scrape....screw that angle crap..lol
of course going at angles gets me in a three wheel as well and you get funny looks from people when you are pulling into the mall.....
