heater stopped working a while back in the summertime, i blew it off. now its cold and i want to fix it. haha. a/c blows ice cold, but when i slide the HVAC over to heat, all it does is blow regular air from outside or whatever. no hot. whats up with this? anyone know?

Will it blow hot air when above an idle? Or no hot air at all? None at idle is a bubble in the cooling system. None at all is probably something blocking coolant flow in the heater core.

I have the same problem...except when I switch it over to heat I can hear the thing that routes the air move, and then shit starts shooting out the a/c vents into my eyes :(

Im guessing thats a bad heater core?

Anyone ever had their heater core disintegrate? lol

Could also be a damaged or binding air mix door motor.

Doesnt some heater core got like a "valve" thats inline the heater core lines behind the engine? My boys 95 had it and his went out. Turns out the valve wasnt opening fully when opens it from the hvac.

Only the 95s have the valve, it's cable operated off the air mix door motor, you can check tension from inside the car. The valve is against the firewall on the upper heater core hose.

Air mix valve damage
Is extremely rare that heater cores rust out. They are plastic.
Also check for wierd stuff like debri, leaves or lab animals in there.
By the way, I have a heater core available. I live in the tropic so no need for it.
