Alternative to 180SX quarter glass?

I know it's rice... so no need to have an open discussion about that. But a lotta guys have the 180SX center garnish between the tail lights...

Anyway, I rarely see 180SX rear quarter glass on U.S. cars (prob because they're $$$ and it's a hassle to get installed). What do you guys think of these? They're stickers (bought from a guy on ebay who's got a lot of stuff like this). Unless you're standing really close to them, you can't even tell they're stickers. ;) A decent and cheap alternative?

cause 180sx kouki tails make the car look a lot more modern as well as dope and they are a functional upgrade. Ever price out the cost of replacing stock tails from Nissan. They are damn near just as much as Kouki tails.
Nothing rice about them. Now changing stickers? thats a little different.

Hey hey hey... no need to defend the kouki tail lights. I think they look great. But my point was, they don't improve the performance of the vehicle and most people who get them didn't have any functionality problems with their stock tail lights. We do stuff like tail lights and stickers just to change up the appearance. And if people weren't enthusiastic about changing up their cars, forums like this wouldn't exist, right? :)

because painting is a craft and doing it right is commendable while rebadging your car to something it will never be is stupid and should only be tolerated when its in a joking manner or if you're doing some kind of replica tribute car (which would require more than some queer sticker on the quarter glass).

Market value of the kouki is generally 10x that off usdm tails. 40 vs 400. But the money spent on the kouki light improves the looks on your car, while the stickers are just plain FUCKING STUPID AND SAD

No, because everyone knows your car isnt a real 180sx. Changing the taillights on the car is because it looks better. CHanging the sticker on the quarter glass has a completely different motive. It's so other people looking at your car know that you know that a 240sx hatchback in Japan is called a 180sx.

And besides all this nonsense, the early model 180sx's came with the usdm style lights on them in Japan. So...if you had a stock fucking 240sx and you put 180sx stickers on it, it would be the same shit.

IMO the only thing that would warrant the sticker would be a full 180sx conversion(rhd and everything)...which means you practically built yourself a showcar which makes your life pointless anyways.

Anyways, I think all the "rice" talk is pointless. Nobody is defending the product as the greatest JDM part ever. The people who do get 180SX glass, who weren't aware of this option, now may save themselves a load of money. Then if/when they change (mature) out of the "If it's JDM it's better." mindset they can easily remove a sticker they put on their window. The fact that it's good at easily changing the appearance of the window should be valued. We should all hope that any and all products in the 240SX aftermarket community, no matter how petty, be made with quality as displayed here.

My $.02 is that, I'd rock all the stock 240sx parts until they either break or fail.

For example, my tailights are no longer sealing, is leaking water into the housings. So when I get a chance, I'm going to upgrade to the Kouki 180sx ones because I like the way those look. If you don't agree, I don't care.

My front bumper is also on its way out, so when I get a chance, I'll pick up the kouki 180sx one to replace it, since I like the way they look. If you don't like it, I don't care.

Basically, all USDM 240sx parts are awesome, and I'll rock it, but there comes a point when they need to be replaced, and that's the only time I'll "upgrade" to something that I like more.

If I wanted a true 180sx, I'd get it from Japan and ship it over. I don't have any problems with having a genuine USDM 240sx.

i have kouki lights. my stockers are in great condition. i bought them for one reason only. because they look cool. i bought expensive aero because nobody else has it, and it looks cool. i bought nice expensive advans instead of FNO1RC111011010s because they look cooler. i just paid extra for my compressor housing to be polished because it looks cool. all my IC piping is getting polished because it looks cool. my carbon cooling panel works the same as a cheap one, but it looks cooler.

do whatever the hell you want with your car. if you ask someone what they think, dont get butthurt when they tell you. if you are going to be all sensitive about it, just dont ask.

actually joe poly carbonite is pretty expensive last time i bought a sheet. the reciept shows tripple dollar digits.. plus its very hard to keep clean once it starts scratching u really cant get rid of it... and u can only use plastic cleaners anything else doesnt do shit... the reason for the big sheet was for makin windshields, rear glass, amd quarter glass... if u have a local TAP Plastics store.. thats where u can buy that stuff and all else the comes with dealing with it...
