i have a motoria hi flow cat that i could sell to you for cheap...i didnt use it with my catback...other than that, isnt catco or random pretty decently priced? are you purposely running rich or is that the way your engine in its current state is running? because if thats the way its running you might have more problems than just a cat...
hey, are you from BARF? that avatar looks really familiar...

do those still help with emissions or are they just a straight out race cat?

You're probably lookin at the test pipes. Scroll down to see the magnaflow bolt-on cat converters.

would the 3" net me anything more than just down 20 dollars to say that i have a 3" cat? aka any performance gains from it?
If you need it for emissions you want a 3way cat. Randomtech are 3way.

I'd have to say 99% of the cats out there are 3-way cats. They stopped making 2-2way cats in the early to mid 80s.
$128 is a pretty good for a new stock replacement cat.

Vishnu/Vagina/Veasna/Whatever,
Not true. CATCO cats are 2way. (The one HeavyThrottle stocks) I learned the hard way.
You need a 3way cat to pass emissions.

Hm. Damn that must suck. Ok. Let me rephrase then.
Most automobile manufacturers stop using 3 ways cats, since the early-mid 80s.
