I have a 1991 240 with front and rear sway and strut bars and also kyb agx shox with 5 zigen springs.  I am wondering who would out handle who  My friends and I have the following cars.  First the 240, a integra type r with skunk 2 coil overs, a BMW 95 325 is and also a 2000 prelude that is stock.  Thank you for your opinions.

from just the suspension setup, i would guess you would school them all, but wheels and tires also play a major part in handling prowess

I don't know about the e36 BMW's but my Friends got a E46 323i. Thng is stock and a F#$%ing dream handler! I'm pretty sure it would out handle all of them.  but that's me

Yea that is what i am hearing about the beamer but what about the type r.  It is known for its ability on tracks.

I'd say driver skill would make the biggest difference on a real track. Only way to really compare would be to get skidpad #'s and even then thats not going to mean much...the bmw might hit .8g while you only hit .6 and you could still destroy him on the track if your a better driver. Its really hard to tell but since the bmw is stock, if your using good tires i'd say you would beat then lude and bmw and run close (either ahead or behind) the typeR

tires are probably the 2nd most important..... the MOST important being the driver.

I think it's a hard pick between your 240 and the Type R. Does the Type R have sway bars, or just the coilover set? I'd fare a guess that yours would be more fun to drive since you can really throw it around, but it might not necessarily handle "the best" of them.
And when you say "best" do you mean highest skid pad numbers, most comfortable, or what? We need something to judge these cars on.

I would say it's definately either you or the Type R; the stock prelude and bimmer handle well, but not as well as a properly done after market suspension.

The type r is has everything except rear strut bar. &nbsp;I am just talking about handling around corners and tite turns, not about a skidpad or anything. &nbsp;thanks

Stock s13 240's pull a .83 g on the skidpad.. C&D review (http://www.240sx.org/links/magazine/car&driver/c&d0289/c&d02896.jpg)
and s14s can pull a .87

damn impressive if you ask me... and if you notice the s14 spanked the 318i on the skidpad....

Type R, Lude, 325is, then your 240.

thats my guess anyway. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I agree with the "tires will decide it" camp. &nbsp;I think the lude and bmw, if w/ all season tires, won't stand a chance if you and the ITR have sport tread. &nbsp;I can't decide between the ITR and the 240 w/o knowing tires, but I will say that Skunk2's generally suck and he likely did more harm to his suspension that good.

You joking? &nbsp;Never ridden in a R, but ludes are nothing special. &nbsp;BMW will feel the best through the turns, but yours will probably handle better if you set it up right. &nbsp;I would put the BMW and lude, cant speak for the type R, but its FWD so that makes it worthless to me.
