I imagined it, but it just didn't fit...there was too much red...
maybe Ace can photoshop it sometime and show ya! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

Krylon paint...huh
So what paint is this exactly? is it for vinyl?
I remember asking before, but I seem to have forgotten. I want to repaint my whole interior (steering, door panel, carpet and everything else).
Does that seem possible or am I just being silly? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lookaround.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':look:'>

Well that was an irrelivant statement....
Couple of questions on the painting aspect. How does it feel when it is on? does it seem like somthing that has been paineted over or does it maintain that smoothness? And as for cleaning, polishing etc, would you still use the same type of cleaners etc on there and would it shine up the same way as the stock black piece? I really like the silver look and they love to charge you 250-400 for an aluminum dash kit...
All in all are you genuinely happy with the results or do you regret it in that man it isn't perfect and now it looks kinda ricy way?
Oh, and in the future, is it possible to remove that stuff? or is it truly a permanent solution?

it's probably better than my Jensen... although mine has Mp3 capabilities.
Spending more money on sound = less money on suspension though

I bet if you guys added a couple coats of clear coat that would look real good, and keep it smooth.
The bag in the floor board gives a nice contrast too.. you should keep it there <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
I agree Guidot's looks better, but it's b/c ACE's looks "Lived In" Like most students cars do.

Oh my car is lived in! I just cleaned it for the pic!! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>
That is 2 coats of grey primer, and 7 coats of krylon red. Yes, I said krylon....hardware store shit...just watch the overspray and stuff.
The feel of the dash is almost the same...it has not faded, or run, in almost one year of everyday use! No clear coat either!
And no I do not have the bag there anymore ...I have red floormats! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>
For the Record: When you find me an Alpine deck that does everything mine does, for less than $150, please let me know <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sneaky.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':pissed:'>

Do you have to use primer before using the color paint? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

just make sure to clean the dash with rubbing alchohol or something... if you have armor all on there the paint won't stick. (found that out the hard way). i used a primer coating because i want the paint to be flat (prime, then sand, prime, then sand), not textured like it normally is, but i don't think it's absolutely necessary.

So do I, its just too much of a colour, and there isnt enough black near the bottom to even out the colours.

Did you know that those guys at supra store are selling Carbon fibre toilet seats and lids? those guys rock. I need to get one.
Mike

very good job, looks pretty clean, i just dont like the colour...
ace's gets my vote, its so clean it looks like raw textured aluminum, and it matches the rest of his interior. also, i like his little "JDM drift style" (this aint superhonda, but i cant think of another way to describe it) ebrake extension
btw...nissan folk calling tozer and guilly cool? hahahahah
