Missing Posts / New Software

My apologies to everyone for the database error again.

I already have bought the vBulletin and have it setup already but am now finishing the customization for it and waiting for vB to finish the Ikonboard to vBulletin converter.

I also looked into getting the off site backup solution for Zilvia.net. Hopefully that will also help so Backup Exec doesn’t corrupt the database when it backs it up.

Other then this I don’t know what else I can say, I’ve said this all before. But were just waiting to convert it all. Hopefully we wont have any more problems.

Any idea whats causing it? I assume you've been using Backup Exec for months and we've had the new ikonboard software for a couple months now but this last month its crashed 3 times <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> and I can't remember the old ikonboard ever crashing.

Edit: &nbsp;good god...I lost almost 50 posts <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'> I talk way too much...

Well the new forum is ran off MySQL, which I think it the problem. Although MySQL is WAY better for performance and speed then the old forum. I think the problem is that when Backup Exec tries to backup the database the file is open and it’s causing it to corrupt. Now, Backup Exec has an add on that allows a file to be backed up while its open, its call Open File Option for Backup Exec. I think it should be something that is a part of Backup Exec to begin with since your paying like $700+ or more dollars on the software. Then they want the add on for $380! Bullshit. So im going to talk to the remote backup people and see if I can do this with them.

Any nice way to tell Vb to get off their asses and finish the code? &nbsp;Can't be THAT hard.

New forum is all setup, couldnt get a different Style for the website so I just changed the colors to match the old school one that you all love so much. Once more styles are released I will isntall them and you will have the option to choose which you want.

Now I am just waiting for vBulletin to finish their conversion script. They have one but its not tested and its in Beta form and I dont want to use it and have more probelms with the forum.

The website has most of it all done, Josh is being lazy and wont finsih some of the things I requested. So as far as the site Im just going to put what I have up there once the vB script is out and work on the other sections when we can. We are working on all the sections that require the server to upload files to it, its a little harder then we had thought. So hang with us and we will have everything completed soon enough. Just tell vB to hurry up.
