I was wondering, while i LOVE the rep system we've got implemented, i think this would REALLY help out with grievence problems and flamage. In a nutshell, a rating addon, like Ebay's User Ratings.

it might mess up our reps we've got now, but idnno. Just a suggestion.
While this isn't a grievence forum, this would help out weary or shady sellers that jip people and hide from the mobs after their $ back. Again, jst a thought.

This has been brought up twice in the moderator's forum. We're awaiting Mark's approval I think. But maybe more people showing support of such a system would expedite this.
I personally put up on of those threads in mod corner, so I'm fully for it.
The only issue I see with it is that you can leave feedback for anyone for anything. The program isn't smart enough to know that a sale was completed by guys A and B. If you claim you bought something, and provide a link to the item, it allows reputation to be left.

It won't be hard to remedy, I think. If someone abuses it, we'd just need to be able to remove their access to the rep system. And delete their erronious comments.

I did some homework.

Looks like we need to upgrade the vBulletin software first. Prerequisite for that is renewing our software license, don't have a cost on that yet.

I'll try and work something out with Mark to get this done in the next few weeks.

YES! I'd think it also be easier to check user rating while, being as everyone would have one, and wouldn't have to dig up a review thread on a person. Alot less timeconsuming also.

Oh, another thing. Being as we've gotten an increase of Premium Members, and all that jazz, y don't we upgrade to unlimited Membership? one time fee, and then minor upgrade fees later down the line. The extra $ would allow server upgrades, and all that goodness.

Just a thought.

We did.. during the Katrina fundraiser. Don't know if it's still going on or not.

He's talking about the VB membership not the Premie membership.

With all the members joining I'm sure we can afford the $30 for the support forum subscription.

Any updates on Unlimited Membership?

How hard is it to reinstitute a new vB account, like the Unlimited Membership?

Any idea what things are changed or altered? What is there really done when you upgrade?

Just out of curiousity.

I think we have the Unlimited Licence for vB. It's the $30 a year for the Support Forum that we don't have. We need to have that to DL the new version of vB. Then we can install the Trader Ratting system.

Isn't the license $85 per year with support for the whole year if you do not remove the branding. I think that is the option I choose on my board. I also just upgraded to 3.5.0. That was a night mare for me; but you need to understand I am not a programmer- would probably be easy for you guys though. There are some nice additons in the gold version.
