Then start researching how a clutch works. You can't ask a brain surgeon questions about the work he does if you don't understand his terminology, can you?

try changing your transmission fluid. your transmission is old, synchros are worn... therefore it's hard to get it into gear. noise is coming from oil or lack of fluid.

It would be pretty tough for a student to understand if this brain surgeon started throwing brain surgeon slang at you...

if a clutch is "shot" it means the friction material is worn out and is not creating enough friction to transfer power from the flywheel to the input shaft of the transmission.

What cable?! It uses a hydraulic system. :bash:

What does the noise sound like? Does the pedal come all the way back up?

I'd check/change the fluid and make sure its filled to the correct level first thing. Look at the clutch master cylinder. It's the smaller one next to the brake master cylinder.

have the car taken to a place that can do it for you...

have the clutch bled and re filled.

have the clutch pedal tightened and re adjusted.

have the gear oil changed

have the clutch inspected/flywheel from under car or by a tech guy such as myself.

then if its still not fixed time for a new gear box.

And Take It Easy On Your Shift Key, you don't need to capitalize every word...

check master cylinder fluid level, and try bleeding the clutch system.

My buddy had a blown master cylinder, did the exact same thing. Replacing it fixed it. But im not sure if this is the answer to your problem.

but there is a cable that is for the hydraulic system thats what i meant to say right by the spring under the pedal. sorry for the misunderstanding
