There is one around somewhere I think, if you can't find it then I shall help... take out the stock speaker holders and trace the bottom onto some MDF board or whatever material you are going to use to mount the speakers on to. Cut a hole into that for the speaker so it can mount to it, do whatever it takes to mount it on. and then you're done.

I found a writeup on the web some time ago but don't remember who actually documented it. Unfortunately, it is a word doc instead of html. So, if you email [email protected], I will forward the document to you (about 2 meg) since I can't load this large of a file here.

Yo, why don't you customize your car a bit? =)

I did.

I've got my Pioneer 5-way 6x9's installed directly into the frame of the car, behind the back seat arm rests. Once those plastic panels are removed, you'll see a couple of rectangular holes cut into the sides of your car's chassis that are, whaddayaknow, PERFECT for 6x9's ! I took some plywood and made 10x8" squares, then put the mounting diagram of my speakers onto them and cut 6x9 holes out in them. I sanded the wooden squares down, drilled them on top of the holes in the chassis, and mounted my speakers to those new custom 'boxes'. After it was all finished I filled in the sides between chassis and 'box' with insulating foam, let it dry, trimmed it off and voila =) Perfect, customized 6x9's. This would even work if you were going to leave your plastic panels on the car after you installed your speakers - just cut a hole in them the size of your speakers, directly on top of your speakers, and mount the speakers' mesh covering on top of the panels. Perfect =) And it looks TOTALLY ninja.

Good luck bro =)

Unless you have an extremely shallow mount 6x9 speaker, then putting a set into the front doors is a big no-no. :nono: You can achieve great sound using a quality pair of 5.25" or 6.5" components. These will fit in easy and if you get a good set can give you the same response as a 6x9.

But then again that is just my 2 cents so :gives:
