hello, i changed the head gasket on my sr20det s13, i checked the oil pump and opened it up and greased the gears and put new seals and when i start my engine the head gets no oil. I have no pressure. can the head gasket by any chance be put the wrong fucking way? I can;t figure out whats going on trying to fi it in my school and no one has a clue as to what it is.

Something tells me that you should not "tinker" with your car until you get a better understanding of it.

yes the oil pump was taken out to check the condition of it because the engine had no oil pressure. the oil pump is fine. I talk to heavy throttle and he told me I should prime the pump put osme oil in he has that problem all the time. he also told me I mgh have the wrong headgasket put it's the correct one so I plan to prime the engine tonight and find out.

I know the car just fine I done the head gasket before on my other sr20det and never had this problem. I own 2 s13 sr20det and I done the work my self and I am very proud of it.

Well did you follow the fsm word for word? Cuz theres a spot on the oilpump that your not supposed to cover up with liquid gasket. Sometimes if you accidentally put too much gasket around it, the gasket ends up blocking it. Another thing is, double check the sump, u could have lost the O-ring on it.

do you have a dented oin pan or you using an aftermarket (greddy, ebay) oil pan. On redtop sr20dets, they have the smaller pickup tube that sucks oil into the oilpump. On my engine, i had big time oil starvation issues that led my redtop head to be completely screwed. Turned out that I had to enlarge the hole on the pickup by 1/4 of an inch on each side. Voila, instant oil pressure. So check those things. Oh yeah, when u put the headgasket on, did you check to see if there were any thing clogging the small as hell oil holes on the block?
