View Full Version : SR20 into 91 Hicas car...what do I need?

I did a couple of searches, and it would seem that I need both a Hicas pump and a Hicas bracket from an SR20DET. I've posted for these items in the WTB section of three Nissan websites...anyone have a lead for me?

If I had just the bracket, could I use my 240 Hicas pump? Not that finding a bracket will be any easier.

It also looks like I could modify the regular SR20 bracket to fit my 91 Hicas pump. I already moved the pump mounted bracket from the SR pump to the 91...now, it looks like I just need to cut the rear 'ear' off of the engine mounted SR bracket, and weld it back on a little closer to the front ear, so that it will fit into the groove on the pump. Its just a belt driven accessory, so that should work...right?

Thanks in advance,

Toby Johnson

As long as it's lined up right, that's fine.
Most SRs come with HICAS anyway, surprised yours did not.

All six SRs I've installed were HICAS, and most of the clips that UH used to get were too. Jarco even brings over extra non-HICAS pumps to sell with their clips. I was just going on what I've seen.

<----no hicas SR...had to get hicas pump. i believe the bracket that is on the SR accommodates both hicas and non hicas pumps..i know i didnt change anything on my motor except the pump in regards to hicas anyway.
