Forum Outage

I just wanted to let you guys know that the forum had another problem and I had to restore it this morning to the Sunday backup. So we lost a day worth of posts. I apologize for the problem again. I am going to look into getting some other software for the forum. Thanks!

Something other than ikonboard? Infopop is the only other forum software I've ever seen thats worth using and I believe it works with SQL also. I can't imagine the nightmare it would be to set that up though...

how are you handling backups? &nbsp;on tape? &nbsp;or 2nd drive? &nbsp;How large is the database? &nbsp;I'm not a DBA but i handle backups of SQL DB's for a living. &nbsp;Maybe we can help you figure out what keeps happening?

I have mine setup basically the same as you, minus the skin (I just modified the default one, as the colors worked out with my wedding)

well he locked one of mine just because he thought I was bumping on the same page when the only time I bumped it was when it when to the second or third page and then on top of it he took a joke between me and Grant in the for sale post about bumping and believed it to be real. I think he's losing it i.e. the software is driving him nuts so he is overreacting.

Dont cry about it freaq... &nbsp;Im &nbsp;not overreacting. I love how you act like its the end of the world if I close your post. You need to calm down, and not take it personally. I got 2 PMs from people asking to close the topic because of all the bumps that I went ahead closed it. Now you want to threaten me with you leaving the forum? I don't want to lose anyone from the forum, but if you feel that me closing a goddamb post is justification enough for you to leave the forum then go right ahead. Sorry I'm not god and cant please everyone.
