I'm sure everyone is sick of this Ikonboard forum software by now with all the trouble its been causing. I did some research today and found out vBulletin will be releasing a Ikonboard converter for vBulletin in one or two weeks according to them.

Ikonboard is free, which is the reason I started with this forum software, although we have dumped some money into Ikonboard for their Tech Support since their software isn't very stable IMO. Of course to my surprise, their Paid Tech Support is of the same quality as their software.

So now I am broke and need some help from everyone whom is willing to help to get the new forum software from vBulliten. It only cost $85, I figure if some of you are willing to help the site out by donating a few bucks so I can get the software ASAP and get the forum converted for good. We are hopefully only two weeks away from the final release of the new site design for Zilvia.net.

I will make a Donation page in the future and list everyone who has helped the site and display their names and amount donated. When we finally make stickers or other Zilvia.net memorabilia I will send those who donate a gift for the donations, but that wont be for some time. If you do donate, please include your Zilvia.net Name.

Of course a 2nd t1 may nmot do anything for the site. &nbsp;It depends on the server. &nbsp;If the server is in-adequate to handle the Sql requests, then the site will still run slow. &nbsp;The queries will be IO bound not bandwidth bound.

It is a Good Idea though.

I dont know what to say, you guys are helping me & the site out SOOOOO much! I cant thank you enough!!

All the money I get here is going to go back into the site so don’t feel like your buying me dinner or mod money. It turns out once I did a little more research that I can get a $160 lifetime version of vBulletin, so I am going to buy that now thanks to the donations. Also, we partnered up with a Remote Backup company and I might be able to swing a deal on their service, its either that or get a Open File Option Package for our current Backup Exec backups.

As soon as vBulletin releases the converter for Ikonboard to vBulletin software I will get it it all installed ASAP. The donation page will be a on the new site design so everyone can see who donated.

I get info from here so no problem in giving a bit to help the forum. It will hold me back from getting my digi cam for a little bit but not too much and when ever i want somthing i get it just depends on how long i want to wait. Once we get the new site completely developed then I wont have to update stuff all myself. We are going to have everything be dynamic so you can add your own rides, reviews, links, and a ton of new features. I have to wait for Boostaholic to get time to develop alot of it since I dont know how to code all that stuff.
