correct me if i'm wrong, but the older 180sx had a CA18 in em, and I THINK that the newer ones have and SR20, but I am not sure about the SR20 part. For sure they had the CA18 in them though

All Japanese versions of 240's (ie Silvia[RSP13, S14, s15, 180sx, SilEighty, 270R]) Had sr20's in them.

the early 180's had the ca18 (RS13), hence the name 180sx (1.8 liters = 180). the newer 180sx's had SR20s (RPS13), the motors are the same as in the silvia of each year.

your so wrong, 89-90 180sxs had the CA18DET, and then 91+ they had the sr engine.
Also when u said "SilEighty" that is just a mix of a 180 and a s13 silvia, so it could have eather the sr or ca

The sil80 is a spin off targeted at the drifters. With a different suspension setup to make the tailend slide out easier and different ecu and drive shaft it makes about 20 more horses than that of the sr powered s13.
It was produced it limited numbers by Nissan but most are conversions done by drifters who busted up the nose sliding into rails, mountains and the like
