It's my first post here! On my first day! Yay! Anyway, Obviously I have a lot to learn about my 93 240SX Coupe. I have had it since day 1, but I never really thought about messing with it.
What I want to know for now is, what do you mean by s13 and s14, I just can't seem to figure those terms out! I've already read a million posts and ...well, I don't know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

if you have a 93, s13 is the version your have. an s14 is the next generation. &nbsp;I'll post a pic of the 2 if nobody beats me 2 it <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

wel the s stands for silvia and the 13 is for what years i think
s13 = 89 / 94
s14 = 95 / 98
s15 = 99 .......
you guys in the us got the 240sx (ka24de) and in europe they got the 200sx (ca18det),and in jap they have the silvias (sr20det)
i think there is more to say about it but nothing is coming up.

don't forget 180sx... 240sx = 180sx in japan
the silvia s13 is the coupe version of our 240sx but without the flipup lights...
confused yet? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> don't worry... it takes a bit to learn all the little nuances

edit: and the s14 240sx IS the s14 silvia in japan.

Ok, here is what I mean when I say that I don't know jack really about my beloved car...ok, it's an s13...are we talking about body styles? &nbsp;engines? &nbsp;seat covers? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

s13, s14, s15 are actually chassis codes. All three are S chassis cars but each model is slightly different...to go on the slightly different chassis comes a different body style.
The s15 never made it to north america.
In north america you have
s13, 89-90 240sx with a single over head cam (SOHC) inline 4 engine known as the KA24e. KA just being the name (like S in our chassis) 24 standing for displacement 2.4 litre and I forgot what the E stands for.
s13, 91-93 240sx with a double (or dual) overhead cam (DOHC) inline 4 engine. KA just being the name (like S in our chassis) 24 standing for displacement 2.4 litre, D for DOHC and I forgot what the E stands for.
s13, 94 240sx same as 91-93 except convertalbe automatic only...this was the only year north america saw a convertable 240sx.
s14, 95-96 240sx same engine as 91-94 s13's but has a new body style (as seen in my sig/website)
s14, 97-98 240sx same engine as 91-96 s13's and s14's but has a slightly different body style...same as 95-96 in most ways with slight changes to front, rear, and added side skirts.

DSC,
I thought the convertibles were intro'd in '92? &nbsp;The E means fuel injected I believe...
Then theres the:
rps13
s14a
s14b
and the list goes on and on...I'm just being difficult i know... &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'>

actually, s13, s14, etc...don't really have anything to do with the engines...it, like dsc said, is the chassis code...the engines have codes unto themselves...but that's another subject....i'd post the differences, but i'm lazy...dsc will probably do it...hehe

edit: &nbsp;KA24D"E" stands for EFI

i really hope you weren't refering to me when you stated that you already said E = EFI...if you reread your post...you said "i believe"...i was just confirming that E is in fact EFI...n00b...

i thought he meant the differrences between a 240sx and a s13 , because a s13 comes with sr20det
thats why i sad bodystyle and engine

Was it 1992? I forget, but they were introduced before 1994. Supposedly it was the only type of 240SX still in production in 1994.

Edit: Here (http://www.cars.com/carsapp/national/?mkid=36&act=search&rvid=28319&mdid=329&srv=review&yr=1992) we go. You're right, 1992.
