i have the real URAS one, same thing
you can rivet it on your hood (cut out hood)
or you can get it all nice and in the hood, which is what i mdoing
depends on what look you want and if you have the $$ for the work.

I have a CF hood that Ill be putting the vent on possibly. Well, I just dont know if i wanna put it on yet. 200 for the hood and 150 for the vent. probably 200 for paint and labor so not too bad. Plus you probably wont find a hood with this style vent unless you pay $$$

anyways ,i had my URAS vent put in my hood, picked it up yesterday put it on
looks hella mean now on the kouki front
cost? 200 bucks to have it molded in from a friends body shop
i set the front of it 10 inches back from the nose of the hood
ends up..could have went 1" more back
the last vent is right above the VCT nose thing on the kouki valve cover, which is cool, in rain wont drip onto the coilpacks and there is NO electrical forward of the nose of valve cover (that is under the vent opending area of course, only MAFS is past that and headlight plugs of course..)

of the 3 'open' parts of the vent, 2 of them (last 2) you can feel the air pass out while at idle, the 1st opening cant feel anything, thats why i said 11 inches back *might* have helped a tad more.

perfect hood insert for v-mount (top mount) intercooler setup

temps? slightly cooler. but i have a stock radiator in so i don tknow...im not used to the temp averages on the stock radiator over my koyo, when i get it back in ill know more precisely

pics? fuck off. i dont have a digital camera so probably get pics next week. maybe ill scan a pic of a kouki i have seen w/ the same hood setup.

2 fags already tried racing me on the freeway, so he BONUS is your car will look way faster!

overall, very pleased, and i still have an extra stock kouki hood JUST in case i wanna swap back.

and btw, i didnt get my hood from luisgonz, i got it from my buddy in japan, who brought i over from URAS when he was visiting the USofA earlier this year.
