View Full Version : a/c not blowing cold air...

noticed some drips of freon under the car yesterday..checked it today...no drips. my a/c light comes on, condensor goes on when a/c is turned on, everything looked good...no kinks or anything? i checked the L line and I have low pressure there...need some help to get this a/c working...it's freakn 100 out here in the Bay Area!

maybe you just need a recharge?

I did a recharge myself and freon leaked out near the firewall...now I'm thinking it might be the o-ring...I have no clue right now...any help?

you just answered your own question.... where ever that leak was... thats where all the refrigerant escaped from... since there was no drips today... its all gone.... i suggest you go replace where ever it was leaking... :bowrofl: :bowrofl: :bowrofl: :bowrofl:

I would replace something but can't locate it exactly...guess I'm going to balst the a/c all the way and hope for some more drips...

There's a dye you can get that A/C specialists use along with your coolant, when it leaks, it leaves a colored stain. I have no idea what it's called, but that's how the pro's do it.

i've heard about that dye stuff...ima try to find some if I can...if not I guess soapy water will work for now. thanks....
