Alright, here is what i had in mind, the car would be a 91-93 fast back, the engine would be an sr20det black top, i have found 2 shops that will do the install, one is 1200, the other is 1500. as for upgrades, i plan on having hks step 2 cams (272) installed, as well as a greddy front mount intercooler, although one shop told me that they will handle the intercooler and make a custom one for 800, im not sure which is better. i also plan on doing a turbo upgrade, and this is what i have come up with so far:

set up 1: http://srownersclub.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=HT&Product_Code=PKG-ENG-STAGE1&Category_Code=PKG

set up 2: sr20det black top with : http://w1.igateway.com/clients1/tc/store/webdata_IP.cgi?fid=1034213708&query=pagenum%3D1%26cgifunction%3DSearch%26Categor y%3Dnissan%2520and%2520sr20det%26Department%3Dturb o&cgifunction=form

one shop said they could install the turbo kit and cams for 450, the re chiping of the eco would be 400,

set up 3: http://linux.forcedperformance.net/merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=FP&Product_Code=TUN2528&Category_Code=Nissan-Turbo

this one is nice since it will just bolt up,

last one: http://thespeedfactor.com/turbo_gt.html , eather the gt28r, or the rs.

i am not sure which route would be best, option one includes everything, but the other turbos may be better, any guidance is helpful, thanks

one last thing, is it worth it to buy the 560 dollar kit that upgrades to titanium retainers, new springs etc? heres the link : http://w1.igateway.com/clients1/tc/store/webdata_IP.cgi?fid=1053715398&query=pagenum%3D1%26cgifunction%3DSearch%26Categor y%3Dnissan%2520and%2520sr20det%26Department%3Dcams&cgifunction=form

thanks!

ive been reading for a long time now, and this is just what i came to the conclusion of what would be the best thing to do, i don't even have the car yet, there are tons around, i just wnated to get a feel for what i am getting myself into, isnt a forum made to help people anyway? on second look, i think the heavy throttle kit is the best bet, still not to sure though. when i get the car up and running i would uggrade to coilovers and such, all that would be changed,

Forget about the cams and vulvas. Get a car, an sr, front mount, and boost controller. If you kill yourself then at least you saved yourself some money. If you live and it's not enough for you then upgrade.

spend your money on suspensions and brakes first... learn how to drive a S chassis, then you are talking.

members here like noobs to search first before asking any questions, they appreciate good questions.

agreed, after suspension and brakes. Then go SR if thats the route you wana go, but give it time before you upgrade the turbo. Trust me....a stock SR w/ T25 at 12 psi is pretty powerful unless you just wanna go in a straight line.

:bowrofl: Thank You for that, yea, i am starting to think JUST an sr swap/front mount will be fine for now, as far as suspension, i was thinking a tien coil over set up with very firm springs, as ride quaility doesnt matter to me, also sub frame bushings, sway bar, and i think thats it? im used to just reading up on e36 m3's and how they need their rear shock mounts, struts shocks etc changed every 40k miles, does this car have that stuff as well? thanks
