i did the s13 cam install and now my idle is really messed up, i aligned it at tdc. My intake cam was pointing a bit higher up than the exhaust cam.
thier are 7 links between the circle indents on the sprokets and i installed at tdc so i dont know what went wrong. my idle is very rough 900rpm and slowly drops to about 700 and struggles to stay alive.
anyone have any advice

Did you install both cams? or just the exhaust cam into the intake side? If you did both, I'm gonna bet you installed it off by a tooth. If it's just the exhaust cam on the intake side, you need to do the 4 tooth clockwise method. Count four teeth over on the cam sprocket clockwise and install it according to the correct mark. OR count four links over counter-clockwise, which is the same thing.

sprockets are off, you gonna have to do it again.
and again, and again until you get it right.
are you using a service manual?
i've been there. not a good feeling when you install it wrong and it doesn't run,
there's a possiblity of a valve getting bent.
do a search on my install fuck up
good luck

i installed s13 intake into the intake and exhaust into the exhaust side.

put the exhaust in the intake side and get another altima 248 for the exhaust, or is the 91 s13 exhaust 248?

Does your car make power during low or high rpms. On my ka, I had 248/248 and played around with different cam timing. 1 link retardedit would run out of breath at 5k, on point it would rev to 7+. It would cam at Idle, but that was 248/248. Yours I would think your ex is advanced a notch. I am guessing you are not getting any low-end torque.

SOunds like you're one tooth off...

There should be 6 links BETWEEN the dark colored links, see here:

JWT KA24DE Cam Install (.pdf) (http://jimwolftechnology.com/wolfpdf/CAM%20INSTALL%20INST%20FOR%20KA24DE.PDF)

Should look like so, the bold ones indicate the darker colored links:

Hope that helps - Brian
