I'm wiring up my RB20, and 2 of the trans sensors were broken. I swapped the sensors, and used the lower harness from the KA. It hooks up to the starter, the alt, and the fusebox just fine. My questions are:

1. Does the ECU take a reading off the oil pressure sensor, or can I swap it out with the switch?

2. Since the lower harness doesn't connect directly to the upper harness, this should eliminate the wiring needed to be done at the fusebox, right?

3. What about the brown plug? The only wire that gets spliced from it is the black/pink.

I've only made a few connections...
Red-White/Black
Black/Pink-Black/Pink
Black/Red-Black/Red

But the 8-wire RB plug was eliminated, so that should be all I need, right?

Thanks for the help.

1) Oil pressure switch is for the warning light only, and it's trash and useless. Put a real guage in it's place.

2) What fusebox? You can use the exsiting lower harness for starter and alternator, and transmission if you choose to hook up reverse lights. VSS is separate on S13s, leave it alone and reuse it.

3) Leave what's leftover alone, or cut it short and tape up.
