We (RedlineGoods, www.redlinegoods.com - known by many here for our genuine leather shift boots) have found a great source for custom made floor mats for our cars!

I was basically sick and tired of my dirty, always moving around and nasty looking floor mats and got in touch with a shop that makes them at a reasonable cost.

Before I give you all the facts, pics, etc. I'd like to explain the purpose of this post. I'd like to know if you'd be interested in getting a set like that for your car and if yes, what's the range you'd expect them to be priced at. My questions are below the pictures, please spare a minute to chime in your opinion.

Product features:

1) Made from plush fabric that really stands out in the interior of my car (see pictures below). It's MUCH nicer than the stock carpets below them. They made a lot of difference in the interior and I've received great comments about them already.

2) THICK, rubber-backed for added durability, they are A LOT thicker than stock and they WILL last much longer.

3) Once you put them down, they WON'T MOVE - featuring a non-skid backing texture of the rubber. Not to mention the shape, enhanced in comparison to stockers to fill the compartment and wedge behind and around other elements for extra grab (ie. the indent on the reat mats directed towards the doors and wedging the mat even tighter against the front seat).

4) EXTRA DURABILITY of the driver's mat: a thick cushion located directly where our heels usually wear out the thin stock mats in no time. These are built to last!

5) CUSTOMIZABLE - we can ditch the NISSAN logo if you don't want it or replace it with another color. We'll be working on providing other logos as well in future.

Pictures:

These were taken with a flash-light, which always brings out any differences in colors of adjacent objects - contrary to what the pics suggest, these are A DEAD ON match for my carpets. I'll try to take some daylight pics tomorrow.

Driver's mat. Notice the strenghtening patch for the heels.

Passenger's mat. A little dirty, I know.

Rear driver's side mat. Background is the backing of the driver's mat, notice the rubber backing and it's texture, making it virtually impossible for the mat to move around. Also note the indentation that wedges behind driver's seat.

Here's how the indentation fits the car (which is perfect in my book).

More in-car pictures. Enjoy! :)

My questions:

1) Interested? If no, why not?

2) How much would you be willing to spend to get these SHIPPED to your house?

3) If you want to buy them now, here's a link to our eBay auction for these (we'll see if anybody besides us prefers stuff that's custom made for the car to the generic items sold there for pennies LOL).

My mats 240sx etching is looking pretty nasty now-a-days, you should make S13s ones, you should get alot of business if you do.

as for the patches, yeah, not feeling the nissan part but good that you can choose with / without

now if you could make Karoism style mats....oooh that would be dope.

+1 for KAROism style mats, or at least S13 mats. :D

1) Yup. If you could produce Karo style mats I'd pick those up in a heartbeat (S14 please :x: ).

2) $10-$15. If it were any higher, it would be cheaper to pick up some OEM mats locally.

I was thinking $45 bucks wouldn't be an unreasonable price. Also where's the little cutout for the driverside where the little nub goes into to prevent the floormats from moving around. I really like the idea of the added cushion for the driverside since mine is all worn down.

I like the idea of havin the "NISSAN" logo but I think it would look better if it was a lighter gray than the floormat and smaller too. Also place it at the bottom. I guess what I'm trying to say is make the floormat look OEM but nicer.

I really like those except for the patch. I like having Nissan on there, but the black background makes it look cheap. IMO

$60 delivered for all 4???

gogogo s13 mats!! id say 50-60$ would be a reasonable price if we could work out the custom logo thing. gogo "nismo" or even "240sx" :) that would rule.

s13. I'd be willing to pay for a prototype set for the s13 lol. I'd say around 50-60 would be reasonable SHIPPED. Not liking the "NISSAN" logo though.

:stupid: i dont like the logos either. i'd be interested in ones for the s13.

for color/logo i think black rug w/ "240sx" written like it is on the car sideways, bigger than the Nissan symbol tho... i think that'd look real nice.

ya karoism is super gangster, but like a lot of other things, you import it, tell people the price, and then you wonder where they all went.

a friend of mine brings in some karoism but no S13 / S14 stuff, otherwise i'd have that chit.

what's the big deal about the "karoism" mats? they sell something simliar to that at advance auto parts for like 20 bucks...lol

the checker pattern looks stupid to me

i think the aformentioned floor mats look pretty nice, except for that Nissan logo. I'd pay 50 bucks shipped for them, if i had a carpet to cover with them. But i dont, so i guess you cant count my opinion. I'd buy a set for my girlfriend for 50 shipped

Well Karoism or not, let us know what colors, name patches, and cars you can get em in, and I'm sure you'll get some orders

just look at the rubber/stitching quality and water/dirt resistance it has on their japanese website pics. I can't find anyone in the US who sells these, they are very japanese exclusive items.

Hey,

we should have some available soon (we have the template and just need to test it). But honestly, shipping cost may turn out to be quite prohibitive, so we're not sure if this product will ever lift off the ground.

My questions:

1) Interested? If no, why not?

2) How much would you be willing to spend to get these SHIPPED to your house?

1. Very interested if: (1) the quality is as good as it sounds, and (2) if you can make it look similar to OEM mats with the "240SX" logo. I'm not diggin' the blue "NISSAN" logo. I could really use new mats.

2. I haven't done my research, but I don't think I would pay more than OEM.

Maybe you guys should find yourselves a distributor in the US if the price of shipping is what you are worried about, that would sure as hell cut the cost down. I'm sure it would be cheaper to have them made there and then shipped in bulk to be sold individually anyways.

I would gladly pay $65 shipped for the fronts... I personally would need a set of S13 mats in black though, because i have an S13 Silvia carpet. And i'd like it if 'Nissan' were embroidered right onto the mat, instead of on a patch thats sewn onto the mat.

that looks pretty chill, but how about having the heel patch made with something a little more sturdy, say, rubber? I like the feel of having a solid foot placing when braking and whatnot. Or how about just coming out with a rubber version? No Nissan logo tho.

1) i wouldn't buy it, i'd wait for the Rubber one *hinthint*
2) 20-30bucks for the carpet, 20-30 for the rubber, 30-50 for the karoISM-style mats that you custom make to each order and 5bucks donated to me for every purchase.

Make a package for the shiftboot/ebrake boot/mats!
