i've been researching a lot lately and came to the conclusion that anything <400hp go with the 50 trims, and >400hp go 60 trim, and i heard the 57 trim just isn't very efficient...
now my question, on an SR what 60 trim would be good? obviously im looking for >400rwhp not way more, but say 450maxrwhp or even 420... i've seen a few, http://store.yahoo.com/cheapturbo/gat360trw63a.html that one particularly caught my eye..
can anybody give me some advice? i want full spool in the low 4k rpm...
thanks

you can get 420whp out of a 50 trim...i would try that for the sake of spool...

which a/r would that be and all?
and how about a .70 trim w/ .48 exhaust?

.48 A/R turbine is a little small for +350rwhp...
.63 A/R with stage III wheel would give you the spool you want, and be able to flow enough for 400rwhp.
That turbo you linked to looks good for your goal, IMO.

You can get more than that... Enthalpy got 445whp out of my friend's SR with a 50-trim.

that turbo you linked most likely has the 270 thrust bearing and not the 360 and the 270 will not carry you to your goals with out blowing the hell up real quick. Places like that don't tell you that.
a 50trim will make more power with pump gas than most other turbos out there. It spools really nicely and we have made well over 400whp the SC50 on many different cars.

oh and stick with something like a .63 A/R.
My personal favorite T3/T4 is the SC50, .63 A/R Exhaust Houing and the 76 trim T31 Exhaust Wheel.

If you want big power in the 450-500 range I would get a TDO6 25G and be done with it...not god for drifting though...too much damn lag..buddy of mine had one for a month and is already selling it and getting another T28...no fun unless your hauling ass already

i had the SC50 on my DSM and i went 12.20 on pump gas, 15psi, bad tune, bad tires and a 1.8 60'...i got full boost around 3300-3500...and that was on stock motor with just a ported 2g ex manifold and ported intake manifold...

that's wht I'm talking about man. Can't beat it.
BJ- that really is a race turbo. Way to much lag to enjoy it on the street, not to mention there are dozens of much better, more streetable and affordable options that i would go through before running a 25g.

but will it still be in its efficiency in the 400+rwhp range?
with that specific turbo you said spool would probably be at full by like 3500ish and in the 400+rwhp? sounds good... or will spool be a little more w/ the 76 trim?
Thanks
