Im getting ready to purchase a used boost controller from ebay, and was looking for some advice. There are so many different ones to choose from. Let me get some feedback, point me in the right direction. My friends greddy profec B II is garbage. So its an older Greddy profec, or HKS, or apexi. None of that newer 500 + shit either please.

Why is his profec B garbage. My friend has one and he likes it.

I have a Blitz D-SBC, and I love it, pretty simple to use, its on the ball, and I have a bunch of friends with it and they all have no problems with it.

wow, I've NEVER heard anyone not like the Profec series.... ANY of them.
In fact, the people I know that upgraded from it, only did it to complete their electronics package as a whole (example, getting the whole SBC iD line).

I know that when I upgrade my turbo, i'll be getting a Profec A- re-release :) (or maybe a B ver.2, haven't decided yet)

This is what I have been told. Profec B II's wont hold boost solidly, all the time. One of the brothers I know had no problems with his, the others was a shit show. He went back to the old style one with knobs like your talking about dousan, I think thats what Im gonna look for. I also heard that the newest greddy controllers are more like the OG Profecs, because they were having so many problems with the II's. Dont quote me on that.

How about a manual boost controller?

Ney on the manual controller. When did I go from being a leaky injector to a silvia member?

spec2 is great if you know how to use it, that tends to be where all the mixed feelings come from

Thats true for all EBCs

i thought the profec b only had 2 knobs(high boost, low boost) and a button to switch between? The spec 2 has gain settings that make it a pita to set it up as opposed to just turning a knob.

I guess that would be true for those, but the Blitz D-SBC works like the Profec b spec 2, gain, volume, peak, etc...

I prefer those kinds in the end.

Personally I like my auto boost controller tune with Profec e-01...
But for 9/10 people the Profec B Spec 1 is the best...

I'm sorry to bring back this thread, but I am ready to buy a Boost Controller. I am stuck with 2 choices

I am stuck between the HKS EVC IV and the Greddy Profec II
which one is better.

I heard the HKS has a scramble feature which does not allow any spikes at any boost level. Is this true?

Profec b all the way have had mine for sevreal years and it 's always rock solid!
It has 3 knobs hi/low boost and gain, it's the old one with the clear blue case

the new blitz looks like a winner to me. combined power of the power id and the previous model's features in one with color. I had plugged in the previous model into my friends TT Z32 and they loved it. I also like the spec's and features as well. IMO the rvit with the old SBC-id = gold not sure what my setup will be with the new model tho...just one unit?
