well i got them in the other day and put them in. There beeffy as all hell and nice and strong. Sorry don't have any pics but just to warn every one i could only get 5.9 degrees of caster out of them on my s14.
I bought them for caster and well i would give them a pretty bad grade. Maybe i screwed up on the install but there is not enough thread to get anything more than 6 degrees from my experince. If i'm wrong somebody correct me but sompared to my buddies v1's i give the V2 an F totaly not worth the money i spent.

Damn that sucks. I would make sure you got s14 tension rods. Call Kuah up and ask. I was told the s14 tension rods are longer than the s13 and you may have the wrong ones on accident. Worth a try. Mine is at like 7* something around there.

Hopefully you are correct b/c I was thinking about upgrading. I got under my car today and noticed that the ball joints on my V1's was starting to rust a little...where the new v2's have dust boots.

Really? I've had mine for over a year and they aren't rusted at all. The power brace actually had a little surface rust, but I fixed that.

Do you drive in the snow...with salt on the roads? I didn't have a choice this past winter.
here's a crapy pic of it.

Wow. Those look like crap. HAHA. Mine look like brand new and I do drive through snow with LOTS of salt. But I check everytime I do a oil change and spray WD-40 on them.

Last winter was the first time I've ever driven in snow so I didn't even think about stuff like rust...Now i regret it. :faint: I need to get under the entire car and spray it down.

Try hosing it down and then spraying some WD-40 on it. It looks like it's just some surface rust and a bunch of salt buildup.

Damn are you serious. I was thinking about trading my ipod for the v2's. Thanks for the review. Going to keep the stock tension rods now until Kuah fixes the problem

yeah it sucks i was all pissed i was like umm 6 that blows. But i'll call up kauh and see if maybe i set them up wrong. But other than that there beefy as hell. The rod part it self must be like 2 inchs rod the chromoly bushings are insane it just sucks that i couldn't get more than 6 out of them.

Kuah will get it worked out. Call him up on Monday and let him know.

I think it's common. My kazama tc rods only get about 7 degrees max. Has your car been in any accident? Just wondering.

how are you getting 7 degrees on your kazamas? I was able to get 9+ on my Kazamas with plenty of thread left....I think 6 degrees caster is stock on S14 :mepoke:
I also have the v2 and was able to get +7. Thats with the guy working on the alignment for 2 hours. Its a nice piece but something just a little shorter would be nice.

Yeah stock is 6 degrees. My car has been in some nice battles with curbs, so my frame might be tweeked. There's a little adjustment left, but it's at about 7 degrees. I was thinking about cutting down the tc rod so i make it shorter so I can adjust it more. Hmm most people run about 8?

I can send you the S13 rods instead, those are 1" shorter and will get you the extra caster you want. The S14 rods when fully shortened should have been able to get you 1-2 degrees more caster than the stock rod, but perhaps your chassis/suspension was slightly tweaked at one point...

are you going to change the design on the s14 rods to allow more adjustability of the caster? B/c if you are then I will just buy ur rods when you do that.

My brother has these (spl v2) and we were able to get 7.5* caster...plenty of adjustability either way. Something on your car is probably tweaked.

I will do some measurements Monday, and see if I can safely shorten it without reducing the strength of the product for guys wanting standard caster -- I was very conservative with the new design because I wanted as much thread engagement as possible for strength. But if the chassis is pushed in as little as 0.5" that will affect the amount of caster you can dial in.
For the S14 guys the solution is quite simple, I can exchange your S14 rods for S13 rods at any time if you are not getting the amount of caster you like. The S14 rod is 1" longer than the S13 rod and the S13 rod can be safely adjusted out 1". All that needs to be swapped is the aluminum main rod...

The adjustment range should be +/- ~2 deg, the actual amount of adjustment depends a little on the ride height...
On my S13 i ran +8º with plenty of thread to spare on V1.
