What exactly does the z32 MAF need to run? I know it needs the plugs and wires and stuff, but I'm talking in regards to tune/fuel. I notice most of the people running z32 MAFs are running higher flowing injectors and have an ECU tune of some sort. My question is... do I need a ECU tune to run the z32 MAF on my sr20? so yeah... I don't know if I should wait till I go with a bigger turbo and tune or whatever or to get the MAF now. I'm looking for opinions/pros/cons, etc.

Yes...retuned ECU or an S-AFC.
FYI: Your stock MAF can flow enough to max your stock injectors (~240rwhp or so)...once you've reached that point, you'll need bigger injectors and a lrager MAF...it has NO advantage until that point.
A Z32 MAF is not a "mod", per se...it's a necessity to make more than ~240rwhp, just like bigger injectors and a larger turbo are necessary to make more that that.

if you are going to go with the apexi SAFC, you have to change ur in and out settings to 2 and 6 or youre engine is going to stall, and tune it
