Hey guys i got myself a 1995 240SX. The car is so tight!  I love the way it handles. It has decent amount of power, but im satisfied. I love it when i drift around turns, I'm only 16 so I hope i don't mess my car up when I'm f*kin around.  I bought it for $5K and it has 114500 miles. Ya I know it has  ALOT of miles. I bought the car with my cash so I'm gonna try and convince my parents to give me $3K and if I add that to my $2K in the bank I'll have just enough for a S14 SR20DET swap~! How tight would that be?!?!?!?! My friend is getting a B16A1 swap in his 1995 Civic Si hatchback so i can't let him show me up. I have alot of sites that sell the SR20DET's but I'm still looking for more resources, so if you have any info please tell me.

Yah, here's an idea:

Quit trying to be a 16 year old hotshot driver before you total off your '95 and spend your $5,000 on medical bills.

I wouldn't worry about that with his swap.  At the track, a 96 civic 2dr with B18c1 (GS-R) swap ran a 15.83.  Stock 240 should be about 15.2 with a decent driver.

Congrats on the purchase.  Be careful though; I am glad I started out with shitty cars, because I wrecked all of them.  Inexperience on the road can be dangerous in a car like this.

Congradulations! Get pictures up ASAP. Be careful with that drifting (ACE don't say a word <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>) I'd say stick to grip driving the car atleast a month before you start drifting. And then keep it in parking lots (do figure 8's as fast as possible...sliding <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>) at first. I've had my car 7 months and I think I could go out and learn to "drift" if I really wanted to since I know my car really well now. Enough with drifting...tell us about your car...color, options, interior, auto/5spd, ect...
Check out http://www.turnfast.com they have a lot of good stuff about driving.
Welcome to Zilvia.net!

Edit: BTW stock 1/4mi should be about a second slower then the above posted time <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hmmm.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hmmm:'>

If you drive like that when it rains or snows you will definatley f$#& it up. Thats why I am slightly worried about getting a 240 cuz I'm so used to FF driving(damn integra). Oh well have fun though. I can't wait to get mine.

congrats on ur car man!

hmmm... now about drifting... i really suggest against "drifting", "sliding", "powersliding", "whatever else isnt grip driving" for a while... i mean, u know, im all for learnin to drift/have fun with ur car/ do illegal stuff, but seriously... this is a real life car you now have in your hands, which also has a real life (your own) within it when you drive; along with anyone else riding with u. dont take extreme driving lightly, if you do, you will more than likely wreck your car and yourself.
please, dont let us find out one day that you have slid off the side of a hill and rolled down with your car; successfully killing yourself and anyone in the car with you. yes, it is this serious sometimes...

well, on a more lighthearted note, have fun with ur car <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
cant wait to get mine <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>
bah, i hafta wait till my family finishes moving to see what my budget is. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hmmm.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hmmm:'>
