hey whats up guys...well ive been posting this problem on the other nissan forums out there for skylines & rb motors, but i figure hey, might as well give it a shot here at my very first nissan forum :) after all, the rb motor & sr motors are pretty comparable, so i figure u guys out there with sr's might be able to help me out...neway, long story short, i was driving home the other day and the car started freaking out, revs flucuating, car stalling, etc. finally got home, pulled into my driveway, and POP! i heard a loud sound come from the engine bay area around the passengers side(by the windshield i think), & my car completely lost all power. ill save you the details, but after several days of testing, ive eliminated most any problem we thought it could be, fuses, alternator, bad ground, battery, maf, aac, etc. right now the car is able to start, but it stalls out after a short while...i know it sounds symptomatic of a mechanical problem like a leak or something like that, but i figure it has to be electrical because i cant have the battery in the trunk anymore...theres not enough power to carry through the cables to reach the battery in the trunk, i can only power the car now when the battery is in the front of the engine...and yes the relocation cables are fine...checked em with multimeter/test light. im thinking it has to be a shorted out wire somewhere but i cant figure out where...we hear a faint sizzling sound coming from the same region of the engine where i heard the POP sounds, but theres no burning smell or burnt wires or anything...im completely at a loss....any thoughts/suggestions/prayers? thanks!!! :wtf:
