If putting an sr20 and modding quite a bit, would they be good for drag racing?

One time I saw a Honda Insight at the drag strip. He said he wanted to get into the 17's Anyway, yes an SR would be great for drag racing. The only resaon so many people say that our cars are not for drag racing is b/c they handle very well, which makes for a good track car.

For drag cars american cars are the best. Not that many imports are good for drag races. If you really wanna tear it up get some cheap american car and make a true drag car, or you could get a 510 or a Z and put like an RB in it and a huge turbo. 240s are better at autoX, but still can hold thier own at the strip if built correctly.

for 240's...drag racing is too $$$ if you want to be *really* fast. At that point you'll be running X amount of boost which wont come online till like 5k rpm, drag slicks, gutted, lots of low end lag....no fun IMO

It's always cool to see an unorthodox drag car, but usually the ones with quick et's and high traps are tube frame and only share a few bolts with the original car

You must associate Honda's with drag cars. A 240SX door slammer would get you by as a drag car (alot better then most other imports... like some front wheel cars that come to mind)

Depends on what kind of drag racing you want to do. If you want to run 12s 13s then no its not hard. But if you want to get into the 9s then I hope you have a lot of money and knowhow 'cause it won't be cheap or easy. But in all if your looking for a stop light dragger then the stock sr w/ basic mods will get some stock V8 (just took a 5.0 stang today) and most 4cyl and 6cyl stock.
